On the right women, fishnet stockings add a certain slut element that can be nice. But the only thing sexier than a shapely and freshly shaved leg is two of them.
I’m much in the minority but I prefer pantyhose to stockings or bare. I like the legs to look and feel nice all the way up and I like the way my wife’s butt feels when she wears them. That bare patch of thigh above a stocking top is sort of like a house missing a row of siding just below the eave.
I find women sexy. There pretty much isn’t anything a woman could wear that would increase, or decrese, my filthy thoughts about them.

But I agree with Zebra - in the end, it doesn’t really matter as I find women sexy and alluring, regardless of what they wear.
But perhaps a little moreso if they’re wearing some stockings. That “white dress-shirt and nothing else” look is pretty hawt too. Maybe a little hotter if there are panties involved.

And, for clarification, I said that I find them more comfortable than pantyhose - not neccessarily that they themselves are the ultimate defination of comfortable!
When hubby and I were engaged, I offhandedly said something about wearing white fishnets and a garter belt under my wedding gown instead of pantyhose. He got this. . .look in his eyes, and said, very quietly, “could you?”
I did.
So though he’s not a Doper, count one more for the “yes” column.
Of course, he likes pantyhose, too. When I wear them to bed. And have a pair of scissors in my nightstand.
The thing is, for most women, wearing those is about being sexy. So when a woman is setting out to be sexier then it is only slightly better.
I never liked garters much, but thigh highs are just awesome. I think you need to be on the smallish side for them to stay up, but luckily my gf fits that description.
Not even a little bit.
Except it is not as much fun nibbling on the siding.

I think it’s the “gilding the lily” thing for me too —there are a boatload of things women can do when it comes to clothing and accentuations that kinda scream “I’m going to a lot of trouble here to look cute and sexy”, and every one of them is more likely than not to backfire because what’s sexier is “I’m not going to a bit of trouble to look cute and sexy, in fact I couldn’t possibly care less, can I help it if I just do anyhow?”
Hell yeah, a garter belt, stockings and long gloves will send me drooling. More than usual.

I think it has less to do with access and more to do with drawing attention to the thighs and/or crotch.
