Strike Back on Cinemax-- anybody watched? (Spoilers)

My husband LOVES this series. Gratuitous sex, gunfire and explosions, Australians playing Englishmen and Americans playing Englishmen-- what’s not to love? I enjoy the convoluted plots and the wtf-just-happenedness.

Stonebridge’s wife had to go, I knew she was gone the minute it was revealed there was no baby. She was bringing him down; not wanting him to go on dangerous missions and keeping him from having soft-porn sex with forgein hotties. How long before Scott is humping the new squad leader? Why did the Somalian Lord kill the beautiful terrorist? She looked to be an interesting character. Probably for more of that wtf-ness. One thing I didn’t need to know-- how awful Tywin Lannister looks in HD (he plays one of the Big Bads this season).

Plus, to go along with convoluted plots, is the convoluted history of the series, taking it from a British production to a South African one.

Sorry, I’d never even heard of it before, but your post does have me intrigued. I’ll have to check it out.

I got the marathon on the DVR this weekend - hoping it’s good.

I watch it. Nothing worthwhile to say about it. It’s a great show. It’s the best action thriller on television at the moment. There’s nothing remotely cerebral about the material it explores, and you never get the impression that you’re watching something great, but it’s still a lot of fun to watch.

Like I said, I don’t have a whole lot to say about it. Hopefully somebody will come along with a more compelling criticism.
