Xan, I feel your pain. Still, you’ve got to lay off the victim mentality. You never are going to whine your way into somebody’s bed, much less their heart. Have you ever heard of a woman dreamily talking about an old lover’s constant complaining? “John was soooo passive-aggressive…sigh…I miss that…” I don’t think so.
The other cardinal sin of dating is boredom. If going out on a date with you is filled with awkward silence, or ass kissing (rhetorically speaking) you’re dead. You probably know all of this by now, anyway.
Believe it or not I’ve kinda changed since I posted this. I’ve adopted if they don’t like me f-them philosophy (sp?). Hell there’s a formal dance tonight and I’m goin stag. If I have to dance alone, then I’ll dance alone. I really don’t care what anyone thinks, but there opinions are welcome if they are constructive. 
I started reading everyone’s posts (which I’m suprised I got this much feed back) I was hurt at first at some of these “stop whinning” posts but later realized they were right. I don’t need anyone. I should just have fun since you only live once.

To quote from the movie Fast-Times-At-Ridgemont-High, in dealing with women you have to have the “attitude” that says “I don’t care if she, comes, stays, lays or prays but whatever happens your toes are still tapping.” Sadly this is the attitude some guys have and for some reason I don’t understand many women seem to like it.
