Stupid liberal idea of the day

That’s what happens when conservatives don’t want to do the job themselves.
The workforce is already overloaded trying to keep up the Republican thread and then all this extra work is dumped on us.

Well, the dumb liberal ideas tend to be assumptions they take on faith that never really made sense. The spiking murder rate is pretty much all liberals’ fault.

Probably those Fw:Fw:Fw:Fw:Fw:Fw:Fw:Fw:Fw:Fw:Fw: emails that just regurgitate slightly altered versions of previously debunked stories. Yesterday’s story about Bob the right wing savior confronting a clerk at Target about their policy becomes tomorrow’s story about Tom, who saved a baby from a pervert at Target and was banned from the store for his good deed.

Overall rate or just in some cities?

When you make statements like that, is it really that hard to gives some cites?

Not to mention the spiraling-out-of-control national debt! And the shocking lack of good manners! Don’t even get me started on the earthquakes under Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood! Flood! Famine! Women and Blacks not knowing their place! Dogs and Cats living together! LIBERALS’ FAULT.
:smack:

By Og, you’re a fucking idiot, adaher.

What spiking murder rate? Cite, please, unless you’re just talking about the slight blip of the last few months from historically low levels to slightly-higher-than historically low levels.

The way you’ve been making that argument, the murder rate could double and it would still be a “success” since it’s lower than historical levels.

But it can’t be seen as a trend unless it continues. A brief spike can still result in a total number as low as previous years if it’s just an odd blip.

Something I saw about Chicago a few years ago. At some point it was announced that murders were up over the previous year.
Oddly, the number of shootings were almost identical so it was a matter of some people shooting a bit straighter or being closer to the victim. So the spike in murders wasn’t due to an increase in attempts, just bad luck for more people.

Wait, what? “Astroturf” is a synonym for “populist”?

Wait, what? That’s nonsense. I haven’t killed anyone this year.

The fact that corporate and billionaire interests tried to jump on the bandwagon and control the movement doesn’t make it any less grassroots. Nothing about what the TEa party has done is pleasing to the wealthy interests. It is pleasing to the grassroots base, however.

It’s early yet.

You’re right, it isn’t Astroturf (although the original one, back in Boston, was). It’s mere rabble rousing.

If we have a year of significant increases, then maybe it’s something. If it’s just a few months in some cities, then that’s just a blip, at least for now.

Sanders is vowing to fight until the Convention. I think that belongs in this thread. He could bring down exactly his best chance to make some of the changes he believes in, for what? He’s not going to win.

Because unlike Republicans who commit voter fraud to prove voter fraud is being committed and invade bathrooms to prove bathrooms are being invaded, this idiot wasn’t doing it to prove that homophobic bakers exist - we have actual proof of that. What he was doing was trying to profit personally from a fraud.

Conversely, the number of transgender people using the “wrong” bathroom in order to assault people = zero.

Wait, what? Firstly, if you’re talking about Clinton, I’m not sure how he could “bring her down.” Secondly, again if you’re talking about Clinton, how on earth is she a chance to make progressive changes if Sanders and his supporters do not continue to put pressure on her to do so?

(If you’re not talking bout Clinton, I’m even further at sea.)
.

Please elaborate on that one.

OR we could start a “Stupid adaher Idea Of The Day” thread instead.

Just sayin’.

Take it up with James Comey:
