Any example I can name of conservatives embracing hateful and dangerous people (e.g, Republicans embracing Trump, Trump bringing Bannon and Gorka into the White House, Trump refusing to condemn neo-Nazis, etc.) you will handwave away, telling me those people are not hateful and dangerous. Any example I can name of liberals turning on hateful and dangerous people (like the two example in the past two three days in this thread) you will similarly find a way to discount. We’ll go around a few posts and eventually you will respond with your favorite retort, telling me to “Fuck off.”

Well, there’s Roy Moore, who believes that gay people should all be killed and who was removed from his judicial position twice and found guilty of multiple ethics violations, only to win the Republican primary for Senate. There’s also Joe Arpaio, who bragged about running his own “concentration camp”, forced the government to pay tens of millions in civil suit payouts due to prisoners being tortured, maimed and killed in his custody, illegally harassed his critics and finally was found guilty of criminal charges only to be pardoned by his good friend Donald Trump and defended by quite a lot of right-wingers on the basis that he was “just doing his job”. Really, quite a lot of today’s American right-wingers will excuse pretty much any behavior in someone on their side of the fence.

I read the headlines the other day, and thought to myself “the director Harvey Fierstein was hitting on women?!?” Then I realized they were talking about someone different.
I’ve heard of some of Weinstein’s movies, but I don’t recall ever hearing his name. Is there some kind of right-wing outrage machine going on about how he’s a liberal leader or something? Why is this even news?

The other day, I was out mowing my lawn, when some red-faced guy came striding up to me. He was shouting something, so I had to turn the mower off to hear him.
Trying to understand him though all the spittle flying about, it became apparent that he thought I was the gardener, rather than the owner of the house, and therefor, he knew that I must be “Mexican”, or as he put it, “Mex-can”.
He was hilarious with his sputtering and fuming that I should “go back to Mexerico” and that I was “taking jobs from good white people”.
I finally got fed up, and told him that I owned this house and to just shut up and move along before he embarrassed himself more. He got more furious, and shouted something about how he taught some kind of martial art, and was going to kick my “Mex-can” ass. He then tried some kind of leg-sweep thing, and promptly fell on his ass. His MAGA hat fell off and rolled into the gutter. I just about bust a gut laughing at this poor idiot lying on the ground.
