No, actually, I don’t. I have a longstanding record of annoying liberals who then turn around and claim that I misinterpret or distort stuff, when I don’t. After the lie gets repeated long enough, it get believed as truth. But hey, that’s the liberal way.
Open competition is not the be-all and end-all of Taekwondo. We do have several folks who compete in open competitions and my understanding is that they do quite well.
However, as of this year, USA Taekwondo has announced that they will be inviting ATA competitors to train and compete for a spot on the Olympic team. They have also modified their rules and have brought them more in line with what we do. IMNSHO, they still need to make a few more changes, but that’s just my $0.02 worth.
Or you could choose to believe me, even after I provided the best evidence that I could. But if you want to allow your bigotry to blind you to reality, that’s not really my problem.
I don’t know why y’all are making such a big deal of this lawnmower story. Frankly I think it’s a far sadder statement about Clothahump if it’s true, in that he’s reduced to recounting “random strangers in the street” stories to find something to put in this thread. Meanwhile, the SRIOTD thread is filled with statements and actions from the President, his cabinet, and Congress.
Let the man have that one feeble, soggy straw to grasp.
But … “when you’re a star, they let you do it”, I thought we’d been told. You even get elected.
Hey, adaher, still waiting to find the part where you determined Weinstein was getting protected because of his alleged political stands, just like you and your President.
Of all the genuinely despicable things to criticize Trump about, this is the runt of the litter. Their constant hounding of anything Trump does makes me melan-collie.
That’s pretty much at the “glorified blog” level of media but yes, it’s a stupid idea. I suspect even the author knows it’s a stupid idea but hey, he gets paid for content, not quality.
On the other hand, one can only imagine Trump with a dog: “Who’s a good boy? Who’s the best boy ever? Who can’t believe how great a boy he is? You are! Believe me!”
Has anyone ever figured out why Mr. Hump assumes the lawnmower girl was a liberal? Was it just because she didn’t kneel down and begin fellating the totem of Mr. Hump’s magnificent right-wing manhood?
World Champ is World Champ. Open competition is not the definition.
In ATA, when you compete regionally and nationally and earn enough points to be listed in the top 10, you are then eligible to compete for the title of World Champ. And there will be people in that top 10 from all over the world.
At last World Championships, the Tournament of Champions division that I was a judge in had somewhere around 20 people competing in four separate events. IIRC, only a little more than half of them were from the USA.
