Stupid liberal idea of the day

And she agrees:

So… yeah. Good pick, albeit somewhat “fish in a barrel”.

It’s funny how the vast majority of entries in this thread are by liberal private persons or journalists/bloggers, while the vast majority of the entries in the Stupid Republican Idea thread are actual Republican elected officials, including US Senators and Representatives, and presidential candidates.

Hell, if we included the contributors and editors and commenters at Red State, Free Republic and Twitchy, they’d have to add servers just to hold the other thread…

Counterpoint.

Yeah, we begrudgingly admit some of us are stupid and/or insane, but they elect their stupid and insane.

Now imagine Erin Ryan being elected to high office despite cringe-worthy comments–or worse yet, because of them–and you might start to see why the GOP is the target of so much mockery.

Watching you is like watching the town idiot struggle to come up with a snappy comeback.

But again, not quite as good as the real thing.

He’s not a town idiot?
Or is it just that no town wants him?

He really is like a real-life Brick Tamland.

Actually, even Brick had a better comeback than this:

Next time, just type “no u”. It’ll save time and strain on those few overtaxed brain cells.

Dude, you have Feinstein, Pelosi, Obama and a pack of others. Pot, meet Kettle.

MRW Clothahump says stuff.

None of them believe in the idiotic things that Michelle Bachmann and Steve King (for example) believe. Bachmann thinks vaccines can cause mental retardation. King believes that it’s legal to impregnate children and bring them across state lines for abortions. And they want to legislate based on those things, among others. That’s impressive stupidity, there, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Can’t help but notice how short of specifics Clothahump is in this thread, whilst proclaiming how rampant the examples are. You might want to check out the SRIOTD day thread to see what it is supposed to look like.

By any OBJECTIVE (big word, I know…try to keep up anyway) standard, the people you named are nowhere near stupid or insane. You just don’t like them because they don’t want to starve the poor and elderly or bomb everyone but the USA. Frankly, the fact that you think those people are insane or stupid says more about your insanity and stupidity than it does about them.

But it’s not like we needed reinforcement of that data…we already knew.

Bachmann was most likely vaccinated as a child so there is some anecdotal proof.

Dude, this week alone we’ve had the RNC saying that racism had been ended, Jeb Bush suggesting that Obama was closing the Vatican embassy to retaliate for Catholic opposition to Obamacare, Rush Limbaugh calling the Pope a Marxist and Scott Walker telling people not to buy their kids Christmas presents and to give the money to him instead. I repeat: that was this week alone.

This is light charcoal calling a black hole black.

I’m sorry, when have these people said things that make them look incredibly stupid or insane? What political beliefs do they hold which are as looney as those of Steve King or Joe Arpaio? Which positions do they take that are as demonstrably bullshit as Bachmann’s stand against vaccines? How do you even compare them? What are your examples? We don’t just say “person x is a crazy person”. We back it up by pointing out the beliefs they hold that are crazy. I have yet to see anything comparable from Pelosi or Obama. Care to point out what they’ve done recently which even borders the degree of stupid of the republican brand?

…That said, I’ll give you Feinstein. God, fuck that bitch. Stupid alt-med lunatic needs to go die in a fire.

I’d hit that.

I’ve had no luck Googling what her alternative medicine views are, can you elaborate?

She’s just a bit of an alt-med quack, from what I understand. Or maybe I’m thinking of someone else…
