Stupid liberal idea of the day

Although, since Moran represents a DC suburb, I doubt that’s an expense he’s incurring.

Ya know…when people post shit like this about me, it simply serves to point out that you CANNOT refute what I said. This all started because I pointed out that good old batshit-crazy San Fran Nan made yet another stupid statement. No one has even tried to come close to disputing that. Instead, you guys opened the liberal playbook to page one and followed rule one: when you can’t dispute the facts, attack the person saying them.

You’re all like chimps throwing crap in the monkey house - soooo predictable and highly amusing. Keep posting classy bullshit like this, Bryan (and all the rest of you as well, don’t feel like I’m leaving you out). Rest assured that I will be laughing my ass off at your collective stupidity.

Yes, but the cost of living in D.C. is a byproduct of the strict, NIMBY zoning laws that prevent the building of high-rise dwellings that would increase population density. Mah-mah-mah skyline :(:(:(, right ? So there aren’t enough flats for everyone, so the rent is too damn high.
But isn’t D.C. essentially run by Congress ? I know they have a weird state of affairs where the mayor doesn’t really own the power or budget or somesuch, but I don’t recall the specifics.

Huh. If he can’t maintain two households on $174k per year, I don’t know how I can be expected to maintain one on minimum wage. This argues that we should be raising the minimum wage to a least $50/hour, am I right?

Anybody know what the cost of living and median wage is in DC?

We most certainly have. But you’re too fucking neuron-deficient to realize even that.

See, Clotty, its not that we are all avatars of clarity and common sense over here on the left. Its just that we are right more often than you guys are. And that’s enough.

And WAY more often than Clothy is even on one of his medication-compliant days…

I’m prepared to accept that you may occasionally make a valid observation. It’s just too buried in rabies-froth to make the distillation process worthwhile.

His Congressional salary “happens to be 97% more than the median household income of the D.C. metro area.”

That puts his ass in the top 3% and he has the gall to whine about it … in his out-loud voice.

I’m so sick of these wealthy fuckers complaining that they’re not rich enough. That they can’t possibly live on their perceived “paltry” incomes. That they deserve a raise, but the rest of hard-working America can go fuck themselves.

Screw them and the luxury car they rode in in, I don’t care which party they represent.

Arrogant, greedy, fucking assholes.

What, that Nancy Pelosi made a statement which was overbroad and probably inaccurate? Or that “San Fran Nan” is “batshit-crazy”? Because those are not the same thing at all.
Pelosi’s words could charitably be described as poorly chosen. If that were said by a Republican it would probably be worthy of inclusion in the SRIOTD thread. But I don’t see any grounds for viewing this anything other than a fairly routine and typical politician-tries-to-tie-their-current-position-to-founding-fathers, something which both sides do a lot. Worthy of a bit of pointing and laughing? Sure. “Bat-shit crazy”? Hardly.

Thank you, Clothahump, for pointing to liberal stupidity.

But I only skim the thread, and haven’t clicked back to see what it was! Before I invest the time to do so, let me test whether you and I use English similarly, or are even dealing from the same deck.

How does batshit-crazy San Fran Nan’s stupidity compare with the stupidities of Bachmann and Palin?
(I’m happy to examine laughable batshit-crazy stupidity wherever it arises, but won’t waste my time unless you confirm you know what “batshit-crazy stupid” means.)

Try it again in 2/4 time. You’ll get a better rythym.
Un-ion, Un-ion.
Un-ion, Un-ion.
Un-ion, Un-ion.
Un-ion, Un-ion.

See what I mean?

Let’s start with this. Has either of them come up with anything so stupid as to top:

Well, actually, no, Nan. You didn’t have to pass the bill in the first place. You could have realized that it was piss-poor legislation right up front, instead of rushing headlong to pass it just because you could. And since you did, it has proven itself to be just as piss-poor as everyone said it would be, if not worse.

Nope, you didn’t grasp what that was about, either.

Poor dear, you try *so *hard …

Since that’s not particularly stupid, it’s quite simple to find quotes from Bachmann and Palin that exceed it.

Just off the top of my head, Palin’s “All of them” response reflects several degrees of stupid.

Pelosi says “pass it to find out”. Kinda dumb. Palin says “death panels”. Psychotic cave guano.

Pelosi says “preventative medicine is the tits!”. Perhaps a bit exaggerated. Bachmann thinks Jesus will make gay men straight. Da fuq?

The left is not made up of morally perfect geniuses. Smarter and better than the other guys, is all. Not that its difficult.

Palin stupid:
“We used to hustle over the border for health care we received in Canada. And I think now, isn’t that ironic?” --Sarah Palin, admitting that her family used to get treatment in Canada’s single-payer health care system, despite having demonized such government-run programs as socialized medicine that will lead to death-panel-like rationing, March 6, 2010

“He who warned, uh, the British that they weren’t gonna be takin’ away our arms, uh, by ringing those bells, and um, makin’ sure as he’s riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed.” --Sarah Palin, botching the history of Paul Revere’s midnight ride, June 3, 2011

“If [the media] convince enough voters that that is negative campaigning, for me to call Barack Obama out on his associations,” Palin told host Chris Plante, “then I don’t know what the future of our country would be in terms of First Amendment rights and our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by the mainstream media.”

Wow, for a bare moment there you had the chance to actually kind of temporarily occupy the high ground. For a moment, you could have been all mature and adult and said “hey, this thread is about liberal stupidity, this particular quote’s stupidity stands on its own” or even “Nancy Pelosi is one of the highest elected Democratic leaders in the nation, while Palin is an ex-governor who hasn’t been relevant in over 5 years and Bachmann is a congresswomen”. Instead you basically chose the single most self-defeating tactic you possibly could have by setting up a rules for engagement which pretty much guaranteed that you were going to lose. Because not only is that Pelosi quote not nearly as ridiculous as it sounds when the full context is known, but Bachmann and Palin each generate just metric shitloads of far far worse insanity. Well played, sir.

Not really, just clumsily worded. Her point, a very valid one for those who bother with the entire context, was that those who customarily listen only to Republican lies about the law would still find out what it really is by personal experience once it was in place, and would thereby come to support it. Which, we are finding out, is true, except for the incurably-clueless like **Humpy ** and Shodan.

Maybe it’s just that too many head kicks in karate practice lead to permanent neural trauma.

Depends a lot on whether you study genuine Japanese karate, or some crude Neanderthal “martial art” like tae kwan do. Chuck Norris is tae kwan do. 'Nuff sed.
