A few GOP candidates have decided to hire voice actors that sound like Morgan Freeman to do political ads. Only B.J. Lawson was so bold to claim he actually hired him. Of course this isn’t working out so well as Morgan Freeman has pointed out he didn’t do the ad.

Barbara Streisand wouldn’t do it this, but Morgan Freeman doesn’t have a problem cutting ads against Washington insiders or he wouldn’t do it. People shouldn’t be so shocked that someone like Mr. Freeman would think outside of the left-right red vs. blue dynamic. This election IS about regular people asking basic questions.

These people are lying, I have never recorded any campaign ads for B.J. Lawson and I do not support his candidacy. And, no one who represents me ever has ever authorized the use of my name, voice or any other likeness in support of Mr. Lawson or his candidacy.

I hope Freeman sues the ass off of whoever did this - either the Lawson campaign manager, or the PR company that they dealt with. Whoever lied. Someone needs to pay.
"Can you really vote for anybody this stupid? If he’s dumb enough to get suckered by a PR firm, and so dumb he didn’t stop and think “Waitaminute! Morgan Freeman is on my side here? Has Michael Moore offered his endorsement yet…”
This announcement paid for by Citizens United Against Teh Stupid, which won’t exist tomorrow and you will never, ever know who really paid for it.
Srsly, I used to love that show as a kid and he was my favorite character. Definitely partially responsible for my insatiable appetite for books, magazines, comics, cereal boxes, etc.
Lucky. My representative is Betty McCollum. An uncontroversial Democrat and an automatic reelection every two years, but I don’t get the fun of either voting for a Mohammedan or voting against Batshit in that other district.
I’m starting to understand you a bit more, you don’t get enough political extremism at home so you need to take it out on the board.
I too suffer from boring elections. My rep is John Olver. He’s pretty boring as Democratic house members go. I often envy other MA districts who get some of the best representatives in the country on C-span making moving speeches(or mumbles).
The last election John Olver got 73% of the vote. The year with two challengers he’s looking at hard times, he may only get 65%.
Haven’t heard a single ad concerning that election.
In the fourth district, where I do a fair amount of work, the radio almost has me convinced Barney Frank is the spawn of Satan. Even with that I’m not even sure who his opponent is(other then nameless corporations). I’m cheering for him still.
