Stupid Republican idea of the day

That’s like telling your boss, if he doesn’t do it your way, you’re going to cut his salary.

Texas Tea-Bagger indicted today.

Funny how the ones that appoint themselves the moral guardians are themselves crooks.

Isn’t this what the mathematically inclined tend to call “pure chance”?

Each and every American will face trial by coin flip. Tails and you’re off to Mexico!

Could you imagine the outcry if Obama suggested such a thing?

Actually it’s less than that, since she says she could “kinda tell”. So 50% of the time she has a (nondisclosed) chance to find a criminal.
Fling pennies from the Chrysler building and arrest whoever gets tagged, you’ll probably do better.

Chances are her chances are awfully good?

Who cares about that minor road bump in the US Consitution Article I Section 6?

For a party that makes great noise about the Constitution, Republicans sure haven’t *read *the thing.

It’s next on the list after they get around to reading The Bible.

It’s interesting to me that “Skipping Work” has been on his YouTube channel for a week and has racked up a whopping 832 views and five comments.

Three of those five comments are saying how stupid the idea is.

Most of the videos on his channel have fewer than 1000 views. I don’t hang around YouTube that much – is it typical for candidates to not get a lot of views on their campaign videos? I would have expected more action on them, but <shrug> I dunno.

ETA: In contrast, none of Clinton’s videos have fewer than 1000 views, and most are over 10,000. Not that that translates into votes, but the difference is kind of striking.

But that doesn’t stop them from wanting to tinker with it all the time. Not a week goes by that some Republican somewhere floats the idea of another constitutional amendment for one lame cause or another. It is clear they are not happy with it just the way it is.

No one is fully happy with the Constitution the way it is. That’s the genius of the damned thing: it’s a compromise from the word go.

The electoral college is particularly nasty, hugely violating the ideal of “one voter, one vote.” The nice chap in Wyoming gets three for every one (1.037) I get.

But so long as a hefty minority always agrees that most proposed changes would actually make things worse, it isn’t going to change much.

Scott Walker was tricked into posing with a giant check for $900 million from the Koch Brothers.

To be a fly on the wall when he found out the check wasn’t real.

In case it isn’t clear to anyone (maybe some can’t see the image for some reason), Walker thought that he was posing with a sign that said “Walker 4 President” but the prankster then flipped it so that the other side (the fake check) was facing the camera.

Poses an interesting question: would it be more cost effective for the Kochs to buy a President or just rent one?

I’d have to say rent. 100% depreciation after at most 8 years makes the buy side seem uneconomic. Unless they get write off the depreciation, then it might work out . . .

Oh, most certainly they will, the enabling provision will be tucked away in the Patriotic Goodness of Liberty and Freedom Bill.

Remember the 3 "F"s. If it flies, floats, or fucks - don’t buy, rent.

I would say POTUS qualifies under the “fucks” category.
