Stupid Republican idea of the day

Also a supporter of traditional adultery. Apparently, it’s all fine as long as there’s none of that icky queer stuff going on.

So this is Alabama’s Senator: the poor man’s version of Sterling Archer without the erudite wit, snappy literary references, and…wait, I had something for this…

Arkansas’, actually.

Used to be, people knew the difference between a hillbilly and a cracker!

And the one Republican candidate that was supposed to be serious shows his stupidity:

He’s right about that. We need a lot of research to determine whether this is merely a global catastrophe that will entirely destroy our current way of life or whether it’s worse.

Well, bless your little heart. :smack:

I KNOW! This is a shocking failure of our educational system and No Child Left Behind. And Obama.

Thanks Obama.

Well, peckerwoods did.

But did he get his Mmmmmojo back ?

And he only flew to Vienna. If he’d gone all the way to Tehran he could have caught a flight into the…

…danger zone.

I thought it was a highway ? Can you even get there by plane ?

Phrasing!

I suppose it’s possible that this is not actual stupidity, but cynical faux-stupidity espoused in an attempt to get funding from the Koch Brothers.

Michele Bachmann: Iran deal a cause for celebration because it proves the End Times have begun in earnest.

Only about four years ago, she was their leading candidate for the Presidency. It isn’t that she’s gotten crazier since, either.

I’d almost be willing to go through the End Times if it gets her off the planet.

Unfortunately, there is a disturbingly large segment of our population who believe in “the end times” and that those times are near. I have a few in my extended family. Fortunately none of them are near enough that I interact with them regularly, but I was seated at a table with some of them at a recent wedding. It’s hard to keep your tongue when they start spouting this nonsense.

When did they start rebuilding the Temple? Isn’t that sort of, like, a prerequisite?

On the other hand, it does seem like Matthew 24:24* is being fulfilled. Problem is, from the GOP/Fundie viewpoint, the FCs and FPs don’t seem to be on the side they think they’re on.

*“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
