But they had interrupted this coverage to run a Breaking News Special Report on Hillary Clinton’s e-mails.

Well, here’s the thing: I’m not nice. I have that on very good authority. As well, I live in the nations number one strategic reserve of raw unprocessed nice, so I am aware.
I gather that we are largely in agreement on the broad spectrum of political issues, and I commend you for it. But that isn’t about nice, that’s about reasoning. I always vote, always for as left as I am offered. I have been to more anti-war demonstrations than I can clearly remember, even as I hate self-righteous speeches (even when I entirely agree with the views offered). And one more gorram Maya Angelou wannabe and I swear!..but enough. Duty is duty, it is done or it is not.
But I am not nice. Prospects are dim. The chance that I might be scolded into it, dimmer still. So, what is to be done? How might I be assured that my failings in character do not spoil the day for one such as yourself? For whom I hold no animosity, no desire to afflict myself upon you.
