Stupid Republican idea of the day

Is there an anti-faith conspiracy so big God couldn’t stop it?

Ben Carson says the media reporting the facts about his connection to snake oil company Mannatech is just a “submarine” sent by his political opponents.

Is he trying to say subterfuge, or just what is he saying?

That’s the problem with today’s political campaigning. Too much time spent on talking points and fluff, not enough on advanced naval warfare.

I’m guessing he meant “torpedo”.

There’s Graham, complaining that the Navy has the fewest ships it’s had since 1915. As if it were still 1915. What’s this Air Force people keep talking about? And what are missiles and nuclear warheads, Lindsey? And did you know the Army has *no *cavalry horses left at all?

Considering Lindsey is actually in the Air Force Reserve, you’d think he’d be more aware. Oh, wait …

Advisor and strategist for several Georgia Republicans, including the state legislature’s Senate Majority Leader, is being sued for molesting several boys in his church group.

The saber inventory is practically nil!

The article linked is from March. The bill passed in the Senate, but stalled in the State Assembly (presumably because the assembly was observant enough to notice what happened when Indiana passed their RFRA). Cite.

Apparently, even Governor Nathan Deal realized that it was a prosperity-limiting move, according to the ACLU.

So, yes, it’s a Stupid Republican Idea. But not of THIS day.

Jeb! came out with his new “Jeb can fix it!” slogan, but neglected to purchase jebcanfixit.com or jebcanfixit.org .com got bought by an Austin, TX city council candidate who already was using the “can fix it” slogan, but .org is being used to criticize Jeb!.

And it may not resonate for us Americans, but the resemblance of “Jeb can fix it!” to the late disgraced (via post-mortem reporting from his molestation victims) Jimmy Savile’s BBC show “Jim’ll Fix It” can’t help him much.

“Jeb can Fix It!” just reminds me too much of Fix It Felix from Wreck it Ralph
