Stupid Republican idea of the day

Or F Troop reboot.

Some Senior NCOs might disagree with you

It reminds me of Bob the Builder.

“Jeb can fix it?”

“Yes, he can!”

Jebediah Kerman can fix anything.

Or are we talking about someone else?

Are we sure this is part of his campaign and he’s not leaving politics to become a veterinarian?

I think it was Jimmy Kimmel who recently said that what Jeb! needs to fix is the election.

That is a ridiculous stretch. RFRA laws, for all their faults, do not provide a “religious exemption for wife beaters and child abusers.” Stuff like that makes legitimate complaints less credible.

Senator wants to do away with the Senate.

I suggest we send him a copy of The Federalist Papers, and dog-ear the pages for #62 and #63.

Ah, no. Not really. Maybe “some”. Yeah, “some”.

I wouldn’t say ridiculous. If the law is passed, those issues will be litigated at some point because those claims will, very likely, be made.

Given some of the RIDICULOUS decisions given down relatively recently (Citizens United), who the heck knows.

Your argument has merit, but why is everybody ignoring the fact that the law already didn’t pass?

Sorry we missed poking fun at it last spring. Let’s keep our eyes peeled for the next legislative session.

Well, he talks about how Woodrow Wilson began “a plot to eliminate the legislature” and “The growth of the administrative state, the fourth branch of government, is increasingly hollowing out the Article I branch, the legislature” (not something Madison could have anticipated) – but, consider, Congress would be stronger as against the executive if it only had one house, if all the powers and functions of the Senate were devolved on the HoR.

I believe Sasse’s reasoning for a unicameral legislature is compelling:

Freedom Fries!

Proof that Ben Carson has always been a loon; from a speech a year ago, he said Fox News is the only thing that prevents the US from becoming Cuba :

In logic, “some” means “at least one.”

I think it qualifies.

It doesn’t seem like much of a stretch, though, considering how many kids have died of curable illnesses because their parents’ religious beliefs kept them from taking the kids for medical care.

It’s conservative DAs who were making the assertions, and they made them based on past cases where investigations were slowed down by assertions of religious freedom, and that was prior to the law. In any event, I think it did not pass into law.

The Goober is at it again, proposing an “experiment” to prove that homosexuals are “unnatural”. It’ll only take 100 years, 3 deserted islands, and 12 couples.

Someone needs to be on the men-only island to record the results.
