Jerome Corsi of World News Daily (those who still insist Obama was born in Kenya) had a breathless headline a few years back that Obama wears a wedding ring with the Muslim holy words on it because he’s really gay married to his Pakistani college roommate. When closeups of the ring showed that it had no such thing on it, he’s now saying, “Well, the White House changed it after I exposed him.”
Because, you know, Muslims have totally been onboard with gay marriage since Day One.
Nah. Its not lying. Southern Baptists are all about the post-modernist irony.
That said, it seemed to me upon reading that his “gun and Koran” remark was something akin to humor, except joyless and hollow.
Is it gonna be the same one verse for everybody ? 'Cause some Muslims can recite the whole thing cover to cover. Can y’all really allow a surah gap ?!
I guess they do believe in the vagina dentata.
Plus one.
Looks like a Battle of the Bens for who’s the biggest idiot savant.
Wait, you mean Pericles wasn’t a Christian?
As an Ohio resident, I clicked on your link. It appears to use The Guardian (a U.K. newspaper) as a source, but Wonkette has no links to the source (simply a [The Guardian] at the end of the article), or to supporting evidence. It states that the Ohio Senate passed a bill (last year), and the Ohio House passed a bill (this year), and that Ohio Governor Kasich is expected to sign “a version” of the bill(s).
I’ll agree that expecting women to get gyno exams at dentists and food banks is pretty ridiculous, but I await evidence that that is what Ohio Senate Republicans have suggested.
Aren’t the Southern Baptists the ones who broke away from the Baptist church because it wasn’t racist enough for them?
If anyone wants to take on that request:
Ohio legislature search page and links to status reports here
Ohio legislature page looks really nice, well organized and okay to navigate.
Actually, that is a link.
No bill number but there is this.
No link to the list, text of the bill or any other information useful to verifying the story.
Stein and Carson are both creationists, so they start tied.
Perhaps this is the wrong thread but contrast the views of GWB, the worst President ever …
[Quote=George Walker Bush]
These acts of violence against innocents violate the fundamental tenets of the Islamic faith. The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam. That’s not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace. These terrorists don’t represent peace. They represent evil and war.

… with views of GOP front-runners like Trump (Muslim-Americans should be required to carry special identification cards that note their faith) or Cruz (only Christian refugees should be admitted to the U.S.)
It’s as though the GOP has taken an upside-down lesson from the GWB years: It’s not that GWB was stupid; it’s that he wasn’t stupid enough.
Fun Fact: In order to make that speech convincing, they told Bush it was Opposite Day.
Well he was accused of embezzling money donated to the temple of Athena and his wife was accused of going around Athens seducing young girls for him to roger later; so I figure he might have been Catholic :D.
John McCain wants to outlaw encryption that the US government can’t crack
Because the government can be trusted to respect the limits of the Fourth Amendment.
Because purposely weakening encryption technology such that a third party can break it won’t result in non-governmental exploits.
Because … because I have a bag of stupidity marshmallows and the only way to toast them is over something so stupid it burns.
Well, if the Virgin Mary is an aspect of the Ever-Virginal Athena, you might have something.
Alabama Congressman expands the “poor people just want the government to give them free stuff” meme; Syrian refugees just want a paid vacation.
$15,000 a year? What luxury! I’d never work a day in my life again with that kind of money.
