No, there is a whole fucking town called Snowflake. Everyone from there is just precious. But, Arizona, you know, all those people are … umm … special.
Snowflake, Arizona? Is there an equal and opposite Cactus, Alaska?
I’ll bet everything I own someone in City Hall has a slush fund.
You’re welcome. I knew exactly in the moment that I didn’t pray, some good news was brewing.
I heard the people there are a bunch of pricks.
Snowflake was name after two precious Mormon pioneers, Erastus Snow & William Jordan Flake.
Look up the weather for Show Low, which is about twenty miles away and about 750 feet higher than Snowflake (which is itself at around 5600 feet – 300 feet higher than Denver). Right now, they are predicting a “frozen mix” for Show Low over the next few days.
Haven’t we been saying “reality has a well-known liberal bias” (Colbert) for years?
Politifact is, indeed, so left wing that they gave Lie of the Year to Obama in 2013 and the Democratic Party in 2011.
Karl Rove is concerned that President Obama is un-American and soft on ISIS, because in his Christmas message, the President used a holiday greeting in a foreign-sounding language: Mele Kalikimaka!
Well, to Karl Rove, I say, “Meka-leka-hi, meka-hiney-ho”.
Hmm. I’m afraid Salon may be misrepresenting what Rove said. Unless he brings the phrase up again in a part of the piece that Salon did not quote (I don’t care to register to get behind the WSJ firewall), Rove did not say that the expression “Mele Kalikimaka” was itself odd or “foreign”; he said that Obama’s NPR comments about ISIS served as an “odd” holiday message.
Pfft. You wish.
Geez, now they don’t even like Der Bingle…
Well, he did start the War on Christmas with that one song back in '42.
A little pakalolo, Handel’s Messiah on the headphones, Christmas spirit, here I come!
Yes, this is “pants on fire” from Salon. In fact, Obama did not even *say *“Mele Kalikimaka” anywhere in his holiday message. Rove was obviously just making a riff on the old Bing Crosby song, since the president is in Hawaii.
But that’s no surprise: *Salon *is constantly sliming Sam Harris with lies and gross distortions, so this is just par for the course for them. (Not that I feel any particular sympathy or kinship for Rove, like I do for Harris; but it’s still kind of gross to smear the guy with something he didn’t say for the sake of clicks and shares.)
From 2011.
