Yes. The hard part about taxes is not figuring out what you pay, it’s figuring out what you’ve earned.
Speak for yourself. Rows and columns confuse me.
Cancer is a growing industry.
I keep seeing Kasich held up as the “sane” one, and I’ve never understood it. He’s as bonkers as the rest of them.
At least; Katich is at least as bonkers as the rest of them.
Why are we even fighting cancer anyway? It’s the natural way of things.
True that. It’s a classic case of allowing the free market to remain unhindered. Why, there’s even a name for it: neoplasm
Thanks Obama.
I think forgetting about a $750,000 loan from Goldman Sachs for your 2012 Senatorial campaign counts as stupid. And that’s $750,000 in real dollars, not Canadian.
I think it must be catching. When there aren’t too many of them and they aren’t in charge they can actually sound reasonable occasionally.
Huh.
“… we need to reclaim the moral argument, where we’re so strong.”
So, you do that by engaging in moral and ethical behavior. Can you do that?
yeah, didn’t think so
In his criticism of the President’s State of the Union address, Rep. Scott Garrett, (R-NJ) says there were actually only one or two uninsured people that were helped by Obamacare:
How about fucking evil as well as stupid and short-sighted? Like, say, poisoning children to save a few bucks?
Lead poisoning in Flint, Michigan: http://scienceblogs.com/insolence/2016/01/08/the-poisoning-of-the-children-of-flint-michigan/
An “emergency manager” appointed by Governor Snyder decided to switch the city’s water supply to a heavily polluted river to save some money. The acidic water corroded the plumbing, leeching dangerous amounts of lead into the drinking water. Snyder’s administration ignored (and may have actively covered up) the problem until the Feds started poking around.
So, lots of potentially brain-damaged children, millions of dollars just to switch the water source back, and many millions more yet to be spent to fix the damage to the infrastructure before the water is safe again. “Austerity” in action.
This really is unbelievable. Even without poisoning kids, the idea that a governor can just tell a city that its elected officials no longer have any say, and that his appointee is going to decide everything for the city, is something I would not have believed possible in the US. I’m too lazy to look it up, but IIRC there were also issues about Detroit’s assets being sold off for stupidly low prices by another Snyder-appointed czar.
Rachel Maddow has been all over this (the broader issue, as well as the lead poisoning) for a couple of years, at least. Anybody interested might want to look at her show archives.
Would Cruz have said something like this about any of his male opponents?
My magic 8-ball says no.
After Democratic legislators complained that a Republican WI state legislator blamed the crime in the state on black people from Milwaukee, and asked for an apology, his response was to flip them off on the floor of the legislature.
Got love the man for single-handedly and successfully disproving all those stereotypes about Canadians.
