Maybe he’ll issue an Executive Order changing says that Christianity is now known as Islam. Just change the name of it. People will be Muslim for a bit until they realize it.
Jesus you people are dense.
He’s waiting until he cancels the elections and declares himself leader for life. Then he’ll have all the time in the world. It’s like it has to be spelled out for you or something.
It’s a given that political ads (of any party) are going to be stupid, but did anyone run a critical eye over the speech in Chris Christie’s 911 ad? He’s attending a town hall of some kind and tells a heart rending story of how his wife was in NYC the day of the 911 attacks and was maybe dead but really wasn’t. So we need a President that will “keep us safe” because (paraphrased) “we have become complacent because there’s been no attack on American soil until the San Bernardino attacks”.
Admittedly, the scriptwriter forgot about the Boston Marathon bombing, but how can you argue at the same time that the current administration is soft on terrorism and that we’re in deadly peril and then admit that there has only been one terrorism related mass-shooting in the past 14 years, seven of which have been under the current administration? Wouldn’t most unbiased people think “Hey, 1 incident in 14 years in a country with 350 million people – that sounds pretty damned safe to me”?
I tend to see this ad most often at the gym, and it’s not very compelling when the sound is off They focus on Christie orating surrounded by unenthusiastic people who are not reacting in any way. Then they pan to a sour-faced woman who is apparently Christie’s wife, Mary Pat, who, I guess, is trying to look appropriately somber, but instead gives the impression she was looking for the learning annex and wound up in a political rally by accident and is now trying to figure out how to sneak out without anyone noticing, and why is that camera pointing at me? Little did I know that the ad makes less sense when you can hear what he’s saying.
Yeah, I see the Boston Globe is a little pissed they forgot the bombing there.
I also see that it’s a SuperPAC ad, not a Christie campaign ad. Not that anyone bothers to care about the difference any more.
They’re trying to shift the Overton Window along the sane/batshit axis. Compared to that, death panels and Benghazi start to sound reasonable.
I dunno, will they have chocolate and chewing gum?
Hush, dammit! That was supposed to be secret!
Please PLEASE call him out on Facebook. If nobody says anything, then him and his knuckle-dragging ilk gets to pretend like this post is a popular belief, and more will come. The only way this ever abates is if people tell him he’s stupid each time its posted
I am a little nicer than that.
He replied “probably”.
I replied saying “well no, but these are obviously your beliefs. If any President (and not just the one you hate) were to even start talking about this, all you and I would hear was that the President was taken to the hospital “suffering from exhaustion” and is being examined by doctors while the VP takes over.”
Let’s dispel once and for all with this fiction that Barack Obama doesn’t know what he’s doing. He knows exactly what he’s doing
Say that three more times, Senator Rubio.
And nylons, don’t forget nylons.
Don’t say “Rubio” ten times to a mirror at midnight!
And will they explain how magnets work?
What do you mean, “trying to”? :dubious:
OK now I’m really confused. I thought that abortion was an an evil plan by white eugenicists to commit genocide against blacks. So am I supposed to be angry about abortion because Hispanics aren’t having them, and so they dilute white power, or because they reenforce white power by killing off all the blacks. Someone tell me please who I’m supposed to hate.
Usually one hears GOPers railing about these things. Apparently they’re OK if the ones calling the shots are ALEC and the Koch gang.
Just hate everyone. It saves time.
Serious question: Do local governments have any recourse if something passed as law but they can’t pay for it? Can they sue the government to stop it, or sue for more funds?
