Stupid Republican idea of the day

Boston radio host Howie Carr, at a Maine rally with Donald Trump, used war whoops to mock Elizabeth Warren.

The idea of Donald Trump and Paul LePage on the same stage makes me want to hurl.

I’m pretty sure, at this point, he’s mentally ill. He’s getting into the same territory as Dave Sim circa the end of Cerberus.

Regrettably, I’m getting the same vibe from Adams’ blog. He’s got this weird paranoid disclaimer that he’s supporting Hillary solely out of concerns for his personal safety (being a California resident), while writing admiring paeans to Trump’s mastery of persuasion techniques, whatever they are.

Maybe I’ve not been reading the news thoroughly enough, but I must have missed the articles about people rising up in packs and tearing apart the Trump supporters. Maybe we might edge nervously away from them at the grocery store, but I think that’s about as far as it goes.

It’s been really sad to see Adams declining like he has been for the past decade or so. I used to love Dilbert (mostly because it was the only comic strip that even came close to the reality of working in an office) but Adams has really jumped right off the ledge.

Same sort of thing happened happened to Johnny Hart. B.C. was fairly amusing until sometime in the '80s when he got that dreadful jesus infection and the strip lost its edge.

Maybe he’s being held against his will in California. Violent women may have enslaved him, forcing him to where only V Neck Sweaters to be in solidarity with…

I have lived in California for 35 years. I don’t recall seeing many V Neck sweaters. Especially in the sweltering 100+ heat.

Agreed. I’m in CA for 19 years. I have yet to see anyone dress like Rick Santorum, even in January.

Depends on what part, yes? Baja Oregon or Ft. Stinkin’ Desert?

From dr. Laura Guano:
… you use public restrooms? I think a lot of people are going to be walking around with just Depends on from now on. They’re just not going to use the bathroom … diapers for everybody… You have little kids, there’s going to be no bathrooms… Everyone will just be happy. Then you’ll be in your own bathroom. Everyone’s bathroom is just their own clothes, OK?

That would be awesome! Imagine being able to spot the narrow minded not just by their t-shirts, but by their puffy ass-crotch-padding as well?

She stole my idea! I was going to market adult diapers with the logos of the NFL teams for use during Super Bowl Sunday. Just imagine showing your Packer Pride[sup]tm[/sup] by pissing on the Bears logo!

He’s an MRA so he already holds a stupid position on one thing, no reason he can’t have a bunch more stupid positions.

Stan Lynde, too. Rick O’Shay was funny, but Latigo was just preachy.

Oh, that’s sad. I’ve always loved Dilbert, and while its lost a good bit of freshness, it still has quite a bit of bite to it.

I really should make an effort to not find out about the personal views of people whose work I enjoy. It’s just depressing.

This article has Mitch McConnel on record stating that Trump is not a credible candidate, but he’s still gonna vote for him anyway. No surprise there. This is was a big WTF for me though:
“I don’t think the seat would have been filled with a vacancy created in a presidential year no matter who was in the White House,” McConnell said. “And for those who argue that this is a disadvantage to the Supreme Court, I would remind them that only four cases this whole term since Scalia passed away were deadlocked. Only four.”
Well, I don’t believe him for a second. Which I think gives him more credit than to believe that he really thinks Supreme Court vacancies should only be filled three out of every four years. Which is just really stupid.

Some very cruel woman tried to convince him to wear a v-neck sweater? No wonder he’s bitter. Nobody wears them in Texas. I’m trying to imagine where they are worn…

Perhaps they’re part of the “layered look” favored in certain Northern climes–in colors to match those fetching hats with ear-flaps…

Now I want a v-neck sweater with an image if Alice (the one with the inverted muff hairdo) sewn onto it.

Here are ten photos which depict the infuriating disrespect with which Republiopathic leaders have treated our President.

Of course this doesn’t belong in the “Stupid” Republiopath thread. The GOP is actually quite clever to continue feeding pigswill to the racists, homophobes and cretins that make up their base.

I just visited another thread and saw this:

:smack: Talk about stupid. I can imagine a right-winger liking Kasich or Jeb! I can even imagine a dolt like Brickhead admiring Ted Cruz who is, after all, a legal scholar. But to hold up Marco Rubio for comparison with Obama? The callow dolt who still can’t decide if he wants to be a Senator or not? The man whose greatest accomplishment to date was helping his brother-in-law, the big-time drug dealer? The inexperienced baboon who would be led around by his nose the way GWB was? The politician shown by Chris Christie to be a blithering dolt who could do no better than repeat the same trite sound-bite four times back-to-back?

We all know that Republican voters wallow in the filth of their own ignorance, but it’s still astounding to witness it.
