Stupid Republican idea of the day

It could be one that finds out what they already believe is true.

Former Fox and Friends host Gretchen Carlson files sexual harassment suit against Fox News chief Roger Ailes

Premier shremier. It didn’t find the right things, goddammit !

Darrell Issa calls for a government shutdown if Hillary isn’t indicted.

This is the same Darrell Issa who released classified information to national TVs, right?

VRWC, the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, still works fine.

Well, he says right there, out loud, that it is not about Hillary but the “imperial President”. I mean, if you are not willing to trust the honesty and integrity of Daryll Issa, should we bring in Joe Isuzu?

Paul Ryan wants to deny Hillary access to classified briefings while on the campaign trail.

Obama should pardon her the day after the election. At that point he’ll be an actual lame duck president, not just some bullshit excuse of the partybeforecountricans. In doing so, he should lean into his duckitude to openly and directly call them out on their naked partisanship and witchhunteriness. A good, forceful speech starting with the made up Benghazi charade and ending with full recognition that the republicans will do anything at all to bypass our representative democracy, from impeaching Clinton I through today.

A pardon should come no matter who wins, because it’s very believable that a vindictive congress backed by a third-grade bully would continue their attempts.

Pardon her?! A pardon is only needed after a conviction.

Uh, Nixon? Pardoned by Ford?

HAhaha. You can’t woosh me, I’m too old.

Ford pardoned Nixon. Nixon was not convicted of anything and the pardon included any crimes that hadn’t been discovered.

Obama should threaten to pardon her if they don’t give him whatever he wants; his SCOTUS pick, universal health care, campaign finance reform, increased minimum wage, Republicans have to wear dunce caps, etc.

They wouldn’t fall for anything that stupid! Would they? No, no, the SCOTUS pick is a deal-breaker.

I’m not convinced that the Republican leadership really truly wanted her indicted. If there’s going to be another Democrat in the White House, which seems almost inevitable, then they want someone that they’ve already spent 20 years demonizing for their base.

The image of Hillary that they’ve implanted in the minds of their base is more useful to them as an ongoing supposed threat.

Yeah, how’s that workin’ out for 'em so far?

Think of it like this: all you’re going to get is gruel and moldy bread. Do you want the gruel with the ground glass sprinkle, or without?

Well, it’ll be a handy thing to keep in their collective back pocket for those times when they might feel pressured to, y’know, carry out the country’s business.

This brings to mind a question, though:

Would Hillary be more likely to be assassinated than Obama was?

No.
