Yale, Harvard; same difference.
Confused?
The voices of the modern Republican Party are genuinely mentally ill. This guy is not normal, but he has a very wide reach in Radio, and is a big, big part of the Republican party. People listen to him. He’s basically the crazy guy on the corner with the “world is ending” sign, but now, these guys are the core of the party.
Leaper:
Sorry for putting this here, but I wasn’t sure where else to ask.
I’ve seen on a conservative blog a NEW REPORT that casts MASSIVE DOUBT on the “born this way narrative” for gays — “SHOTS FIRED,” as the headline said.
I really don’t feel like reading it, especially not today. Does anyone know WTF these people are talking about, and how they’re almost undoubtedly twisting the logic like pretzels, or alternatively, how biased the source is?
This appears to be a report/blog that is ripe for abuse.
(Conclusion – Sexuality and Gender )"]When the research touches on controversial themes, it is particularly important to be clear about precisely what science has and has not shown. For complex, complicated questions concerning the nature of human sexuality, there exists at best provisional scientific consensus; much remains unknown, as sexuality is an immensely complex part of human life that defies our attempts at defining all its aspects and studying them with precision.
If you read more of the conclusion, it becomes evident that McHugh’s intent is not to pander to the nutwing that want to “heal” the “perverts”. He is merely saying that “born that way” is too simplistic and has not been clearly established by scientific analysis.
More of the text reveals that McHugh does seem to show genuine concern for LGBTs. Unfortunately, that concern may be eclipsed by NEW REPORT! … MASSIVE DOUBT! … SHOTS FIRED!

Paul McHugh has a long-established history of evidence-free claims about sexuality;
McHugh, professor of psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University, has been actively working against the medical treatment of trans people since the 1970’s. As the university’s chief psychiatrist, he was instrumental in closing the Johns Hopkins Gender Program in 1979, one of the first programs of its kind, citing the 1977 study by his Hopkins colleague Dr Jon Meyer, which claimed that surgical intervention did not improve the psychological functioning of the individuals treated. McHugh himself admits to directing Meyer to conduct to further his anti-trans agenda in a 2004 article titled “Surgical Sex”. In the same article, McHugh also continues to preach the largely discredited “autogynephilia” theory of Ray Blanchard and J. Michael Bailey. McHugh is also known for filing an amicus curiae brief in Hollingsworth v. Perry, asserting that homosexuality is a choice, as well as for his participation of the campaign against Kansas abortion provider Dr George Tiller– who was murdered in 2009 by a anti-abortion activist.
Obama got his undergrad degree at Columbia, so he can’t be a member of Skull and Bones, which is a Yale secret society. Unless they started franchising it out and didn’t tell me?
(The Prez earned his law degree at Harvard, but the secret societies don’t “tap” law students. It’s an undergraduate thing. So he didn’t get into Porcellian, either)
Governor Rick Scott Says it’s Safe to Visit Florida
“We have great mosquito control boards. We have great health departments across our state. We have 43 cases in an entire state that takes 15 hours to get from one end to the other of 20.6 million people. We have 43 cases of local transmission,” Scott said during an interview on the FOX Business Network’s Cavuto: Coast-to-Coast.
Could be the Gov. is lying.

You didn’t hear the news?
At the top of the by-county section is a note indicating that all cases are travel related; e.g., not local transmission.

According to the Florida Department of Health, there are 523 total cases not involving pregnant women and 70 cases involving pregnant women, regardless of symptoms. The governor said his administration is taking the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of everyone in Florida.
If 70 pregnant women are confirmed as having it, and 523 people other than pregnant woman are confirmed as having it, then there are probably over six thousand other people who have it but have not yet been diagnosed. (2.12% of women are preggers at any given time, 51% of people are women, ergo . . . )

The old one burned down, fell over and sank in the ocean.

Someone inform Donovan at once!
The old Atlantis is on display at Kennedy. Houston wanted it, but they said “no, you already got Columbia”.
New Atlantis has a Queen with huge tracts of land.
And mermaids. Because of all the Coca-Cola.
Yeah, he does lie all the time, but this is not one of those times.
Well she didn’t insist that blacks are too stupid to get photo IDs, so she didn’t go full racist
