While both sides engage in mudslinging, it is unfortunately the Republicans who have spent the better part of this election cycle **projecting **their weaknesses on Democrats.
I feel like Trump has been shit on since he announced he was gonna run. I mean people have drawn nude pictures of this guy with a little dick.
I am not defending Trump nor am I saying that Hillary has not also had it bad, All I am saying is that Trump has had it pretty bad. If you think he deserves it, that is cool.
Again, all I am saying is it comes from both sides.
You mean the guy with serious mob ties, multiple marriages and a history of cheating on past wives, the guy who has pretty much lied about every aspect of his life, every aspect of his business, who has a long history of racist and sexist actions…
Is being treated unfairly? :dubious:
Before this election, NO ONE would have been allowed to continue their candidacy under this kind of cloud and clear aversion to the most basic facts. People have been put out of the running for much much less, let alone the tidal wave of awful that comes from this guy.
The fact that he shamelessly does this and is still a credible candidate for any office, let alone POTUS is a national disgrace.
If he hadn’t talked about his little dick, no one would have drawn him with a little dick.
I feel that a lot of people think the same exact things about Hillary. I wasn’t saying he didn’t deserve it. You are just saying it is ok, because he sucks. I am saying it is happening from both sides. I don’t care that you like Trump, neither do I. That is not what I was talking about. I said he is getting shit on. So is Hillary.
I don’t think the mud slinging is necessary at all, it should be about policy and ideas for the future. These are two of the lowest (in popularity) candidates in a long time. To say that only Republicans are slinging is just unrealistic.
To summarize, so I am not misunderstood… again. I don’t think that it is right, from either side. I don’t think it is as one sided as it is being presented here.
I would like to see a cite for that one. I may not be up to date in my knowledge of the candidates genitals.
And it’s random fuckheads like me drawing Tiny-Dicked Trumps, not Hillary Clinton or any of her surrogates, or any ranking Democratic congresspersons or senators. I concur to the bull and the shit that “both sides do it.”
I think it’s fair to say if Trump were the Dem nominee and Hillary were the Repub nom, things would be very different.
Back when it was Hillary vs. Obama I was thinking, “admitted druggie vs. Hillary, this is even a question?” What’s acceptable is all over the place, and depends on who you like, to some extent.
Without pouring over the thread, I don’t think anyone said that only the Republicans were slinging mud. That would be a ludicrous statement in any election.
What I said was that the Republicans have been projecting their own failings on the Democrats. Gomert the Moron calling Hillary mentally challenged? Trump using ‘Lying Hillary’? Hell, wasn’t there an American Potato (thinker) article the other day accusing Democrats of exactly the sort of cognitive dissonance and false claims that had pretty much only come out of Republicans lately?
You didn’t watch the GOP debates? Sad.
That’s according to the CNN poll, and it’s her worst number on-record. It’s also up from 65 percent earlier this month and 59 percent in May. The 30 percent who see Clinton as honest and trustworthy is now well shy of the number who say the same of Trump: 43 percent.
You heard that right: Trump — he of the many, many Pinocchios — now has a large lead on Clinton when it comes to honesty and trustworthiness.
The CBS poll, for what it’s worth, has a similar number saying Clinton is dishonest: 67 percent.
That is the Washington post. If those numbers are are correct of how people see her, then calling her a liar would seem to resonate with the people. If the people see Trump as a dumb fuck white racist, and someone said that, it would resonate with the people.
I am saying that all the bull shit name calling is stupid as fuck. From BOTH sides.
ALSO, Sorry I copy and pasted that, I don’t know how to add cites here yet…
The mud slinging ads by Clinton I’ve seen consist of clips of things that Trump said. That is a wee bit different from the lies Trump has said.
I do concede that point. I am not defending Trump by any means.
I think the left has made the mistake of labeling everyone a hateful racist fuck and it’s going to land a Republican in the office. You can’t go around labeling everyone who disagrees with you a racist, homophobic MRA-type misogynist islamophobic fuck and just keep on going until you’re left with you and your little coffee clutch of like-minded activists claiming to represent people who think you are kind of an activist whackjob.
Not everyone, just the hate-filled racist fucks.
Well IMO that is how Republicans have been labeled. Regardless of creed. Oh you are a Republican? You must be racist, sexist, and shoot baby bunnies on the weekend.
I’d like an example of someone who has been called any given one of those words and has not stated things demonstrating that they are those things. Hell, since I’m giving you a rather large number of words to use, I want three examples before we start whining about “everyone” being called all of those words, which is a bit of hyperbole.
The problem there, is that Republicans ALWAYS VOTE FOR THOSE THINGS. ALWAYS. Wish I had a nickle for every conservative who didn’t hate gays voting for ANTI-GAY politicians. “Well, I don’t agree with that, but I always vote Republican.”
If you always vote for monsters even though you don’t agree with all their monster views, you’re still voting for monsters.
Look no need to jump up and be all defensive. I am saying IMO. That stands for in my opinion. My opinion exists because of my life experiences. That is what I see and that is what I hear from most of my liberal compadres. It’s not a big deal. I’m not personally offended by what others think.
There are good republicans and there are good democrats. There are bad republicans and bad democrats. I try not to generalize, but I feel like group mentality takes over and before you know it, majority weighs down those of opposition. I feel like the republicans are the obvious minority here.
I just don’t want to be considered something I am not just because, republicans get a bad rap on this board. There’s good ones too.
