Stupid Republican idea of the day

The comma should have been a semicolon, or, better, a period followed by a new sentence. Why do you hate English?

Can I borrow your superfluous comma (after “semicolon”) to make up the deficit?

McCrory says he’ll call a special session to repeal HB2 - but only if the city of Charlotte agrees to discriminate against transgenders anyway.

The man’s trailing by 7 points, but apparently this is the hill he wants to die on.

Grin! I disagree with you on that one, but, were you to be correct, it would be highly well deserved.

Wow, what a stupid idea. I guess he’s so stupid that he thinks everyone else is as stupid as he is, and might actually fall for such a stupid trick?

I guess he saw how Pence handled the RFRA in Indiana and thought “that was pretty good, but I bet I can shit the bed harder than that.”

Christie falsely claims Trump hadn’t talked ‘birther’ for years
YES HE DID.

“It would not be impossible to prove with sufficient repetition and a psychological understanding of the people concerned that a square is in fact a circle. They are mere words, and words can be molded until they clothe ideas and disguise.”
― Joseph Goebbels

Christie also said it was “an issue that Mrs. Clinton also injected” into the 2008 Democratic primary against Obama, which is false.

NO SHE DID NOT.

It’s insane they can go about repeating bald faced obvious lies and not get called to account.

Paul Ryan Tired of Giving Rich People Most of the Tax Cuts, Decides to Give Them All of the Tax Cuts

By whom? I’ve heard NPR repeatedly and bluntly deny any Clinton birther involvement. Much more directly than the usual media obfuscation of “appears to” this and “he said, she said” that.

Donald Junior is as much a piece of shit as his father is. He just tweeted this.

How many tweeted back “Yes!”?

All Trump followers? Would it be possible to encapsulate a solid hit of acid inside a glucose shell, looks just like a Skittle? Normally think such a drastic intervention is immoral, but these people need help!

The funny thing is that I first heard that analogy during the Gamergate/#notallmen hoopla - the point was made that while not all men are assholes, misogynist or dangerous, women have to consider that any unknown man could be one or all of those things in a dating scenario or even in public places. I wonder if Donnie would be okay with the analogy in that context.

…And of course, nobody is calling for all men to be exiled to a warzone, and women are a lot more likely to be raped by men than blown up by terrorists…

Well. he’s got a point. I certainly wouldn’t want to eat a bowl of refugees if some of them were poisoned.

Gotta hand it to him, that’s vision. Nobody so far had ever suggested doing progressive taxation the *other *way around !

So, the BBC is now reporting that (1) the picture of the bowl of Skittles was used without permission of the photographer, who (2) was a refugee himself in 1974, a Greek Cypriot who at age 6 was forced out of his home by the Turkish occupation, and who is unsurprisingly not very happy with the message his image is being used to convey.

The Trump family certainly have a talent of choosing just the wrong picture.

Even this one, a simple picture of candy, has a backstory that makes them look bad.
Please proceed, Trump family.

Trump used $258,000 from his charity to settle legal problems

Well, those people wanted some money, that’s why they were suing, to get some money. So, he gave them some money! Not his money, but some money!

… It’s like they’re doing it on purpose, at this point…

Governor of North Carolina held a Q&A with questions from the media, attended by a representative from the *Charlotte Observer *in attendance. When the *Observer *representative tried to ask a question, he was told that the Governor had already answered three questions from the Observer, and the paper shouldn’t try to dominate the proceedings.

Except that none of the questions actually came from the Observer, but from McCrory’s staff.
