To be clear: defending alleged scum isn’t the problem. Successfully defending scum that is known to be scum who committed the crime they’re accused of then running on a tough on crime/safe families platform is the problem. Not to mention stupid.

All Hillary has to do is to point out that she, as a Christian, takes her marriage vows very seriously. Her relationship with her husband is stronger than it’s ever been. Marriages go through rocky times, and the sign of true character is how to weather the storms, and work together to build your relationship, rather than dumping someone when you get tired of them.
So, a woman who doesn’t leave her husband for cheating is too stupid to be President.
But a man who actually cheats on his wife is TOTALLY qualified to be President.

What would happen if, in the hours prior to a government shutdown, Trump were to ride in and get the Republicans to compromise? Or at least appear to the reason for the compromise?
