Stupid Republican idea of the day

That’s not the RNC, that’s just their poster boy.

This may well be the Stupid Republican Idea of the Year. And of course, it will be mostly ignored by the media.

They overrode Obama’s veto. He clearly and carefully explained WHY he was vetoing. And JUST NOW, they figure out that the law might have “unforeseen ramifications”? And they blame Obama for not holding their hands and CONVINCING them not to be stupid ASSHOLES?

Jesus, that is stupid.

McConnell: “I just shit my pants, but it’s Obama’s fault, because he didn’t tell me that by shitting my pants, I would get all stinky.”

To be fair, you gotta blame both sides. The override vote was 97-1.

Make it “Stupid bipartisan idea of the Year”

I guess she was hot enough.

Someone explain this one to me. If I misappropriated $250,000 from a charitable foundation, I’m pretty sure I’d go to jail. This seems to be out and out theft to me. But this schmuck is perilously close to getting elected President and no one seems to care.

Kind of like busting John Wayne Gacy for parking tickets.

Finagle, your point is…?

The override was passed in the Senate 99-1. Every Democrat in the Senate voted to override but Harry Reid. You can’t blame the Republicans only for this one.

And you can’t blame Harry Reid. My Senator totally fucking rocks!

I was surprised to hear that. What the everloving fuck???

You can’t vote against 9/11 justice, I guess.

I can see people up for reelection this year wanting to avoid the “hates 9/11 families” political ad, but it doesn’t explain why people not up this year voted.

Is there something actually good about this bill that I am missing? It seems like a pretty terrible idea on the face of it, with a bit of analysis, and with in depth investigation, but I am sure I am missing something.

I have a hard time blaming people for voting for the override. No elected official in his right mind would vote against “Justice for 9/11 victims” in an election year.

Might see it as a “free” vote, the bill is just as flawed as Obama says it is, so it will, somehow, be negated. Still, craven.

I would like to propose a new law. Elected officials must READ laws before they vote on them. Or have them read TO them. Preferably by people who understand them.

Newt Gingrich is going ballistic on HILLARY over Alicia Machado:

In Ferguson?

Uh-oh. Trump is going to claim that the “Gold Star” Khans were in a sex tape.

You would think that by now, some of Trump’s handlers would have figured out that they just need to take away his Twitter access during the wee hours.

He likely smuggled a phone into his bedroom, and was posting from underneath the bedsheets. They’ll need to unplug the wireless routers, and maybe install some kind of jamming device.
