The FCC made sending comments on the issue so ridiculously and purposefully difficult so as to discourage real comments. Were it not for John Oliver’s shortcut and instructions, I would never have been able to find it.
*"A woman who falsely claimed to The Washington Post that Roy Moore, the Republican U.S. Senate candidate in Alabama, impregnated her as a teenager appears to work with an organization that uses deceptive tactics to secretly record conversations in an effort to embarrass its targets.
In a series of interviews over two weeks, the woman shared a dramatic story about an alleged sexual relationship with Moore in 1992 that led to an abortion when she was 15. During the interviews, she repeatedly pressed Post reporters to give their opinions on the effects that her claims could have on Moore’s candidacy if she went public.
The Post did not publish an article based on her unsubstantiated account. When Post reporters confronted her with inconsistencies in her story and an Internet posting that raised doubts about her motivations, she insisted that she was not working with any organization that targets journalists."*
That entire article is pretty amazing. What a complete pile of shit O’Keefe is. How the fuck is Project Veritas allowed to operate as a tax-exempt charity when they pull shit like this?
Further proof that every nugget of bullshit that drops from the right/alt-right about the left is nothing but projection to try to mask their own blackened souls.
Well, the tax exempt status allows them to make the best use of their donations. Like the one made by Donald Trump. Technically, from Donald Trump’s “charity”, because obviously it was from his charity and not himself. So, in short, Donald Trump is in the fake news business.
The problem is, as has been mentioned on this board, that conservative media prepare to go up against the liberals in their imaginations rather than real ones. They fervently believe that all liberals are triggered, safe-space-needing snowflakes who don’t have a brain in their air-heads.
Presents an interesting insight into alt-troglodyte psychology. Its an amazingly dumb plot, but that is rooted in their belief. They believe that this shit would totally work because of what they already think about “liberal media”.
Knowing lies are an example of poor ethics, unknowing lies are cognitive dissonance. So, once again, the threat is unmasked!
So, clearly, when Moore said a few weeks ago that the “reason” for the accusations and story would come out “soon”, he was expecting a videotape of WaPo reporters saying that this lady’s^H^H^H^H^H^H woman’s fake story would surely knock him out of the race.
