So basically, sleazy MO Gov. Eric Greitens and his staff have been using a texting app called Confide, which deletes texts as soon as they are read, to conduct state business. MO Attorney General Josh Hawley, who is running for Claire McCaskill’s Senate seat in the fall, was investigating whether using the app violated state’s Sunshine Law. And the conclusion was essentially, “we don’t have any evidence, because the app deletes it, so we’ll just have to take your word for it that you didn’t misuse it.” :smack:
I don’t know how many of these people are Republicans, but I’m going to assume that because it’s the Utah House of Representatives, that at least most of them are Republicans. I cannot think of anything stupider than a group of middle aged white people rapping, so here you go:

Giving the article a quick read, it seems this guy Steve Lebsock, a Democrat was accused of sexually harassing a fellow rep and four other women, the result of which was a 54 to 9 vote to oust him. However, he switched parties to Republican, unbeknownst to most of the reps voting, shortly before the vote; I’m not sure what exact length of time “shortly” refers to. Now according to the rules if a member of the legislature is kicked out, that member’s party gets to choose the replacement. So the Republicans are claiming that right based on his last minute party switch.
Lots of questions here. Not the least of which is, why the fuck would this guy switch for no reason just before the vote if not to throw a seat to the Republicans? What kind of Democrat would do that, even if he is a lascivious piece of shit? Bribed? Bamboozled? Befuddled? You got me.
That the Georgia GOP would renege on its tax break for Delta just because Delta dropped an (unimportant) discount is disgusting, flabbergastingly disgusting. We’re in 21st-century America? Even banana republics have grown past this sort of childishness.
And they compound their malice by inventing, out of whole cloth, a lie about Planned Parenthood discounts.
