The Atlantic Magazine has fired columnist Kevin Williamson, after he called for the death penalty for women who have abortions.
He had only been with the publication for a month, and his hiring itself was problematic after people pointed out some of his less savory comments (which are reported in the link above).
So this guy would be in favor of killing a woman who may already have children. Also killing women who have an abortion because the pregnancy would likely kill them (that’s really weird) or pregnant because of rape or incest.
He has a wonderful way treating women. Is he married? Is she allowed to have an opinion? Does he have guns?
Probably never occurred to him that a woman who had ever given birth would abort a later pregnancy. I know the pro-lifers I see socially would assume it would never happen. It’s a black-and-white world for most of these people - either you abort babies, or you have babies - never both.

Trump seems pretty effective at wrecking Interior and State, I’m not clear what’s left of Treasury, he likely will effectively get us into a hot war, and he might yet subvert Justice.
Cruz is a knucklehead and by all accounts a thoroughly unlikable person, and I disagree with him politically. But I think he comes off pretty well in that exchange. Random person throws down a silly challenge, and he stays polite and refuses to take the bait. 99.99% of the time, I’ll take the side of anyone against Cruz. But there I kind of have to acknowledge that he handled that pretty well.
Republican Congressman Mo Brooks of Alabama thinks National Guardsmen deployed at the Mexican border must be allowed to use whatever force is necessary to prevent illegal immigrants from entering the US:
Why is all of the Right-Wing imagery of undocumented aliens coming across the border violent and militaristic? They act like these rag-tag border-crossers are all wearing bandoliers and toting AR-15’s…oh, wait. That’s the Minutemen…
Montana Republican candidate for Senate ad. Apparently attacking his opponent because … he plays the trumpet?

No shit. He’s called “the America-hating fuckstick” because he HATES America (also, because he’s a fuckstick). And any candidate who supports him can also be said to HATE America.
Any candidate who opposes him at least gets the benefit of the doubt.
