Stupid Republican idea of the day

Stupid? Republican? Sean “Dumbest Fuck Of The Fucks” Hannity decides that it’s a good idea to pick a fight with Jimmy Kimmel. I bet he doesn’t think it’s a good idea for long.

Yeah, Kimmel’s got at least thirty IQ points on him. Possibly more.

I was wondering: what did people like Sean Hannity do back before cable TV? (I mean people who were about his age, pre-1970.) They weren’t on television. I gather there was some ‘talk radio’ from the 1960s and even earlier, so I suppose that’s where people like Hannity—non-journalist hatemongers—worked.

Anyway, as long as Hannity wants to keep it up, Kimmel will go on eating his lunch.

Montana Republican candidate for Senate ad. Apparently attacking his opponent because … he plays the trumpet?

I, for one, want to see more jazz trumpet players in the Congress…along with saxophonists, trombonists, pianists, bassists, drummers, etc. One long jam session.

Also, folks who can blow jazz are less likely to be America-hating fucksticks.

Also also, quicker legalized reefer.

I think most of them were employed mopping up the toilets down at the John Birch Society clubhouses.

Not sure if that would make C-SPAN more or less tolerable to watch.

Only if they focus more on the Senate and it is full of bluesmen. I get what jazz is about, but it makes me edgy after about 5 or 6 minutes.

Okay, squares, let me introduce you to the new delegation from New Orleans, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Memphis, Nashville, New York, and Chicago. (All bona fide jazz towns, believe it or not).

I defy you not to groove to this. Also it would make Trumpster and his stooges melt like Blue Meanies before an assault by Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

I feel the same way about the reefer

Oh, man. If we leftists can’t get together on the subjects of jazz and marijuana, we may as well just give the whole country over to the Republicans. Uh, like we did.

Actually, jazz would be great is that was their vote-counting system. Ayes play a riff, Nays counter with several bars, and it goes on like that until one side concedes. I would watch that.

South Carolina Congressman brandishes loaded handgun at constituent meeting

Esequiel Hernandez Jr. Murdered by US Marines. US citizen tending his goats; he was 18 when four poorly trained and briefed Marines shot him. They (the Marines) had the same crazy pep talk that Dotard and these other chickenhawks have been dishing out. “Major drug route, gangs, heavily armed, etc..”; none of which were true then or now.

Please read - forward to your representative in congress. I know for a lot of folks, that’s worthless but they are on record for knowing consequences of previous border actions.

More fun from South Carolina:

SC Republicans introduce bill to consider secession over gun rights

That works for me. But terminate all federal highways/maintenance at the state line. Start charging foreign postal rates. Impose tariffs on water and electricity coming into the state from The Other 49. In fact, just build a freaking Border Wall around the whole state and require passports to enter the USA.

What a bunch of idiots. When will the grownups take over the gummint again?

Two good responses:

Well, she would be taking the gun away from somebody with mental health issues. “Fucking stupid” is a mental health issue.

If I ever get my time machine, I’m gonna go back to the Constitutional Convention and persuade the FFs to put in an article with a procedure for expelling a state.

EPA head Scott Pruitt wants a bulletproof car. Among other things.

Scott Pruitt is so evil he does everything he can to protect himself from reprisals. I think he’s now more blatantly a super-villain than was Henry Kissinger.

Someone should take him aside and sympathize, and agree that, for his own safety, it’s best that he go back to the private sector.
