Stupid Republican idea of the day

Has anyone ever asked him what he would call it if our soldiers were captured by the enemy and subjected to the same type of treatment?

They prefer soldiers that don’t get captured, so that should be OK.

Caitlyn Jenner is shocked - shocked, I tell you! - to find out that the Trump administration is rolling back legal protections for transgendered people.

Keep in mind this is the woman who thought that Ted Cruz would be willing to have her and her girls in the administration advising on LBGT policy.

“I never thought the leopards would eat MY face!” sobs woman who voted for The Leopards Eating Peoples Faces Party.

I agree with most of this but, Nitpick, this is nothing new for America’s right-wing liars. In 2000 McCain was attacked for having a black love-child — did this McCain bastard ever turn up?

And in 2004, when a genuine war hero (Kerry) was running for President against a genuine shirker (Bush), exit polls make it clear that Kerry lost because of “doubts about his military service.” :smack: These doubters had not carefully studied the Dan Rather hoax and concluded that if Karl Rove were smart enough for that set-up, he probably also knew how to defeat Al-Qaeda; they were just worker bees who’d heard FoxNews in the background droning the same lies on and on and on until a vague “doubt” sunk in.

ETA: Trump and the GOP know their base well. They even brag about inventing the concept of “Alternate Facts”: Republicans and Trumpists then nod their heads in admiration. Truthiness is for libtards.

Truly Olympic levels of stupidity.

And a perfect score from all the judges, even tiny Montenegro, for that effort. And now, back to Dick Buttons.

The push polling was actually referring to his adopted Bangladeshi daughter, trying to insinuate there was interracial hanky-panky going on that resulted in her. This was, incidentally, Karl Rove’s brainchild for the 2000 South Carolina presidential primary.

Well, Caitlyn Jenner, in the same article, said she could never vote for Hillary because that would have been the end of our country. :smack:

Caitlyn, STFU. Go home, count your money, count your good fortune and stay out of public conversations. They just show your stunning levels of Cognitive Dissonance.

Jenner: great athletic talent. Not-so-great intellectual talent.

After writing the post (that you quoted) I found evidence that the ‘torture worked on McCain’ lie is not a new one, but was employed as a tool to get rid of him in the 2008 primaries. Guess the ‘black child’ thing from 2000 was considered ineffective by 2008. Anyway, here’s the 2008 lie about torture, as examined by PolitiFact:

Note that both the 2000 lie and the 2008 lie were employed in primaries–not in the general elections. Reasonable people might conclude that some Republicans have no problem spreading vile lies in the service of winning primary elections.

The problem with cutting ties on the person who lied about McCain is that they didn’t cut ties with Trump when he attacked McCain for being caught.

I suspect it had more to do with seeing another advertiser backlash looming after both right and left expressed outrage at the comment. FoxNews is running out of shows they haven’t lost advertising revenue on after someone associated with the show said something staggeringly offensive, and they needed to act fast to avoid another hit to the bottom line.

Actually, their bottom line isn’t being hurt much.
Most of the advertisers have just specified that they don’t want their ads run on whatever show, so the network just schedules them at another time. They still get paid for them. But it can make that particular show a money-loser, if they can’t find other advertisers to replace those who move.

Maybe if this keeps up, eventually there will be no non-boycotted Fox News shows to move advertisers to. But unlikely – there are lots of right-wingers who own companies that advertise.

Tomi Lahren says her fans should cut in line and shoplift in order to somehow “own the libs” over immigration.

She’s got to keep ratcheting up her rhetoric or no one will pay attention to her. It will hopefully lead to an epic crash-and-burn, one that costs her even more than the $3,000,000 she is currently worth.

There are always crap tons of money to spend on war, but 'pubs say there is just not enough money to spend on annoying, needy folks like the ones on Medicaid:

Republican crime and malice aren’t recent phenomena. Listen to George Carlin comment on the GOP way back in 1988.

Blake Farenthold, newly minted lobbyist, has changed his mind and now won’t reimburse the taxpayers for the $84,000 in taxpayer dollars used to settle a sexual harassment case against him.

Well, he doesn’t have to beg for votes anymore, so fuck the little people, ya know?

Michael Williams, candidate for Governor of Georgia, has a bus labeled with anti-immigrant slogans. He plans on using it to round up immigrants and drive them to the border. Not clear if he means the Florida border, the Mexico border, or the Canada border.
