We have seen the dark place that is the Rs’ Soul. Brain bleach has not helped.
There is no class warfare, the war is over, the poor and middle class lost.
The underclasses losing the class war is often just the first step on the path that has the Bourgeoisie standing up against a wall.
The Federal Election Commission has found that Ted Cruz illegally used $1 million in loans from Goldman Sachs in his 2012 reelection campaign.
Cruz’s campaign claims it was an “inadvertent mistake”.
How do you make a $1 million inadvertent mistake?
The “mistake” was intentional. Getting caught was inadvertent.
Sometimes I think about how if Trump hadn’t run, we might have ended up with President Cruz and I feel a little better.
Honest to God I am not making this up - I’ve seen it done - twice
As bad as Cruz is and would have been as a President, I think he’d not have been in hock to the Russians and also wouldn’t have been alienating every ally we’ve got.
I think.
Probably true, but President Cruz and the Republican Congress would’ve been much more effective in their mission of dismantling our civil liberties and social safety net by now.
I said this before the election. While a Trump presidency is maddening and having to listen to that asshat every day is torture, he’s not very good at things like coalition building and passing legislation. What I didn’t count on before the election was the absolute disaster that his foreign policy has turned out to be. Simply because I thought that while the Republicans might cave and let him run around like a cranky baby at home I thought they’d grow balls and rein him in when he went to visit other countries at their houses. But I was very wrong.
That’s true if you mean by legislative means. As opposed to destroying the executive branch by design regardless of what legislation it’s supposed to enforce, which I don’t think Ted would do, although I could of course be wrong. I think he’d be limited to executive orders halting enforcement of hated regulations, and would not hire some of the absolute worst administrators and not fill and/or intentionally slash the staff of some agencies. In my happy scenario, that means that the damage is limited to the current administration and the executive branch wouldn’t be hobbled for the foreseeable future.
Darrell Issa supports Trump casting doubt on the US intelligence community.
Dana Rohrabacher says the US meddles in Russian elections at a higher rate than Russia does in US elections.
So… it’s OK to do so…?
Isn’t this the guy who was “The Most Likely To Be On Putin’s Payroll” ?
If the only justice for these dipshit mouthbreathers comes from the voting booth, then we Americans are most likely fucked.
OTOH, trumps antics do distract from exactly those things.
It is hard to fight for anti-discrimination against a gay couple that just wants a wedding cake when we have our government separating children from their families.
It reprioritizes us from trying to be the best humanly possible to just trying to stay humane.
NRA Board member Ted Nugent held a concert in Roanoke, Virginia at a venue that allows guns. He announced that nobody could come to the event carrying a gun.

In the news article linked in that story was this:
I thought those shootings happened because there were not good guys with guns there? And here Ted is, denying good guys with guns attendance to his show.
Members of Keystone United, a skinhead group, are facing charges of beating up a black man in a bar in Pennsylvania.
One of the co-founders of the group, which likes to show up at Trump rallies, is Steve Smith, a Republican country committee member in Pennsylvania.
The Right is going ballistic over the Democrats who are calling to disband ICE, and now Ann Coulter wants to disband the FBI.
Republicans: Stupider and stupider by the day.
Republican fucking moron describing Trump’s “strategy” in the Putin meeting:
“The president just looked right back at [Putin] and with the same straight face… basically sent a message: ’If you can sit here and tell me that with a straight face and that’s what it takes it to move forward in other negotiations, I most certainly can match you on this, and in fact I can stand here and say, ‘Of course you didn’t do it,’ even though we all know that [you did],’” Sen. Mike Rounds of South Dakota told reporters at the Capitol on Tuesday.
“The reality is,” Rounds continued, expounding on his theory of Trump as a fourth-dimensional chess master, “‘I know you did it, you know you did it, and you know that I know that you did it.’ So to me, Mr. Putin tried to tell the whopper with a straight face and President Trump basically laid out, ‘You wanna play that game? Fine. I can do the same thing because we all know you did.’”
Mike Rounds, I’ve never heard of you, but your legendary stupidity will be your trademark. Apologies if your family, kids and stuff are as monumentally fucking stupid as you are.
It’s been amazing to hear all the tough-guy “conversations” Republicans are absolutely sure Trump had with Putin in private. They have very active, and pathetic, imaginations.
