California has tighter rules on toxic waste than many other states. This may take a while.
I know, I know, Rule 34 and all, but I didn’t really need to know of the existence of Trump/Sansa fanfic. Link to Twitter, not directly to said fanfic.
Everyone was perfectly fucking fine not knowing about this, and now we do. I want you to go and sit in a corner and think about what you have done.
I am going to get filthily drunk and hope the memory fades.
.
One down, forty-nine to go.
This has something to do with that show that everyone else watches, right?
No, I’m assuming that it’s a misspelling of “Samsa”, as in “Gregor Samsa”, the protagonist of Kafka’s The Metamorphosis who wakes one morning to find that he’s turned into a giant cockroach. I have no problem with the existence of fanfic coupling Trump with a giant cockroach.
And if I’m wrong about that, I rely on the basic human decency of my fellow posters not to tell me.
Trump is a giant cockroach.
Leavenworth, KS county commissioner, appointed by the local Republican Party and not elected to the board, tells a black woman appearing before the commission that he is a part of the master race.
When the Commissioner says “we is the master race”…
I saw this on the local news. This is what I remember from the news story: The commissioner has a gap between his front teeth. He evidently thought that the black woman who was addressing the commission also had a gap between her front teeth. So his remark somehow was meant to insinuate that all people who have a gap between their front teeth are all part of some ‘master race’. Which, of course, is an extremely stupid and rude comment, at the very least.
But, reading this article, it’s also apparent that he’s made overtly racist comments in the past.
He’s only letting Trump get away with it out of kindness, I suppose.
We heil! <blat> Heil! <blat> And then we get escorted out of the theatre.
Senator Hyde-Smith accidentallysays the quiet part loud, but don’t worry, it was just a joke:
“And then they remind me that there’s a lot of liberal folks in those other schools who … maybe we don’t want to vote,” Hyde-Smith is heard saying. “Maybe we want to make it just a little more difficult. And I think that’s a great idea.”
HAHAHAHA! Get it?! We should specifically disenfranchise liberals! That’s a joke. Somehow.

You are Townes Van Zandt and I claim my five pounds.
You can claim it from the dust in Trumpy’s mouth.

OK, I get that he was trying to make a joke, but most people wouldn’t have the words Master Race slip out of their vocabulary so easily. He could have said, “that makes us superior”, or “that makes us better than everyone else”, without sounding quite so Naziish.
More from Mississippi Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith, noted for colorblindness, who loves democracy equally well:
“And then they remind me that there’s a lot of liberal folks in those other schools who maybe we don’t want to vote,” Hyde-Smith can be heard telling a small crowd of young people outside her campaign bus in a video taken Nov. 3 and posted on online Thursday. “Maybe we want to make it just a little more difficult. And I think that’s a great idea.”

I hope they at least fined the guy for disturbing the peace. Jeez.
Ah yes, the much-cited example of shouting “Hitler” in a crowded theater.

Nothing except a ban from the theatre.
White, of course.
Bob Goodlatte, current Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, is planning on subpoenaing Comey and Loretta Lynch to answer questions about their activities prior to the 2016 election.

Gotta get those jabs in before he’s demoted.
Senator Mike Lee of Utah says the left is about to start a civil war, and in order to prevent it, we need to eradicate a long list of federal programs including “the interstate highway system,” funding for “K through 12 public education,” “federal higher education accreditation,” “early childhood education, the Department of Commerce,” “housing policy, workforce regulation,” and what Lee labeled the “huge glut of federally owned land.”
