Stupid Republican idea of the day

She said she *hopes *that. Not that she expects it, or has any reason to.

I don’t have time to look it up, but I recall one of LBJ’s last speeches (perhaps the State of the Union) ending with a plaintive/whimsical wish that when people remembered his administration, they would think, “we tried.”

I have a feeling that his wish has a significantly better chance of coming true than SHS’s hope.

[sexist swine] Pretty much fabulous everything else, too! [/sexist swine]

I hope the day hasn’t arrived when a man who admires a beautiful, talented woman can be labeled a “sexist swine” for doing so. If it has, I’m glad I’m old and will be dead soon. :frowning:

We’ll keep you in our hearts, Bernadette.

Hey! What about those thoughts and prayers I keep hearing so much about?? :dubious:

Know that, if we share nothing else, we at least share a dream.

Republican Congressmen-elect from Tennessee says vaccines cause autism and the CDC is covering it up.

Thoughts and prayers to the yokel families that will believe him.

I always wonder how many of these antivaxxers get flu shots.

I saw an anti-vax picketteer while driving the other day. I decided I should yell, “Get an education, asshole!” out the window at her, but by that time it was way too late.

Perfect response.

What makes this even worse is that before he sold his soul, the guy was a medical doctor.

I bet he really does own a mansion and a yacht, too.

Even us younger (by comparison) bucks share that dream. My first serious girlfriend looked just like a teenage Bernadette Peters.

In the future, we’ll all be Ernest Borgnines.

Seems like he walked back his statement.

Someone must have told him how stupid it was.

Let your mind boggle at this actual Homeland Security press release;

Build wall high!

Looks like they’ve already built a wall around the grammar classroom!

Do not taunt wall!
