Stupid Republican idea of the day

So was Obama (as far as they are concerned) and its much easier to back date a birth certificate than to change the country of origin.

Damn Liztards. Always trying to get voting rights for illegal aliens…

That drawer full of butter knives is a lot sharper than any Trump supporter.

By which Uke means the drawer itself, not the knives in it.

Yes, except it was largely Democrats who supported the efforts to pass laws restricting corporate donations,

…and it’s not their fault that got thrown out by the courts.

Having failed in their efforts to limit these donations, they’d be hamstringing themselves if they let the GOP take as much money as they want, without the Democrats matching them. Yes, it sucks, but it’s not the Democratic Party’s fault it sucks.

Why did she have a gun on her trip? Was she expecting to have to fight off bands of brigands roaming the lido deck?

What, is the “I’m an American, I have rights!!” defense no longer working?

No, just Doc and Rep. Gopher (R-Iowa).

House Democrats are holding hearings on white nationalist violence, and the Republicans have turned it into a farce. The Republicans invited black white nationalist Candace Owens to testify. She said that there is no white nationalist violence, and the most dangerous faction in America today is antifa. She then blathered off into her plan for Black people to leave the Democratic Party.

Ted Lieu called her out to her face about her comments praising Adolf Hitler. Her facial expression is everything as he plays her own words back to her.

Youtube had to shut down commenting during the live broadcast because of the racial hatred posters were spewing, and Louis Gohmert called it a “hate hoax”.

Devin Nunes is suing McClatchy newspapers, the corporate owners of his hometown Fresno Bee (which endorsed him in every election until the last one) for $150 million for “conspiring with a political operative to derail his oversight work into the Hillary Clinton campaign and Russian election interference”. He also claims in the suit that Bee reporters “spread a variety of alleged untruths—including that Nunes “was involved with cocaine and underage prostitutes” during a 2015 yacht party involving “25 of the Napa Valley-based [Alpha Omega Winery]’s top investors, all men—[who] were openly using what appeared to be cocaine and ‘drawing straws’ for which sex worker to hire.” The suit says the reporter tweeted the article, mentioning Nunes in the same sentence as “cocaine and underage sex workers.””

#YachtCocaineProstitutes is now trending on Twitter.

You’d swear Nunes is a fan of Barbra, given his devotion to proving the existence of the Streisand Effect

Why is the suit filed in Virginia when all parties are from California? Without looking it up, I’m going to assume that California has robust anti-SLAPP provisions, and Virginia does not.

I saw a story about Nunes’ lawsuit that mentioned that he had the smarts to appear on Hannity’s show and complain about Fake News.

He must not have any real work to do if he can spend all day cooking up lawsuits against cows and bees.

Half that story is reposted tweets. That is pathetic. I do not care that they post important stories, if Mediaite is going to make twitter their primary source, fuck them, and fuck all the sites that go that route. Even if I support the content (or not), fuck every site that sucks on the hind twit.

I just saw a butterfly called an ornythion swallowtail today in my back yard, looked it up and found that its territory is Mexico and Guatemala. And here I am in the eastern part of L.A. County, CA… Obviously it came up here to take away a nectar-sucking job from an American butterfly.

I did not, however, put it in a cage.

:exploding_head:

I was wondering that myself. How does the VA court even have jurisdiction?

I am not a lawyer, I honestly don’t know if you’re required to file a lawsuit in a court in the district where an act took place or if you can just pick one. I can’t believe you could court shop like that, but what do I know?

Texas legislators considering making abortion potentially punishable by death

Sounds like treason to me.

It gets even better. The lawsuit filed by cowman’s lawyers complains that Mays tweet deliberately highlighted the words “Devin”, “cocaine” and “woman” in bold text. Twitter does not support text styling – except when highlighting search terms in bold, as shown in their screen-grab.

The stupid is so strong in this one that it has spilled over into his counsel.
