Good Lord. And the Florida House of Representatives isn’t going to censure him, no doubt.
Oh, yes, and this is the party that would have you believe the Democrats are anti-Semitic.
So now they believe Catholics are Christian?
OMG! You let the cat out of the bag. Remember when they bitch about Muslims in the Middle East attacking Christians and Christian churches? Of course, most of those Christians are not, according to those idiots, Christians after all.
It’s Bill Donahue, he doesn’t even think all Catholics are Catholics!
(I’d be very surprised if he thinks Protestants are actually Christians.)
CMC fnord!
Everybody knows the Muslims killed Jesus!

“Everyone’s a heretic except thee and me, and I’m not so sure about thee.”
Republican Congressman Andy Barr invited AOC to come talk to Kentucky coal miners about her Green New Deal plan. She accepted, so now he’s rescinded the invitation.
Kentucky Republicans Worried Inviting AOC to Meet with Coal Miners Might Backfire | GQ?
And then she ignored him: “An apology’s not likely to happen, though. Corbin Trent, a spokesman for Ocasio-Cortez, told The Courier-Journal, ‘Luckily, we still have open borders with Kentucky. We don’t need Congressman Barr to meet with coal miners and have a town hall, though we’d love his participation if we do.’”

Of course, there are no working coal mines in Barr’s district. And Congressman Comer might be the smartest Republican in Congress right now.
Uninviting Ocasio-Cortez is probably a smart move on Barr’s part in the long run. For one thing, there aren’t any active coal mines in Barr’s district. And James Comer, another Republican representative from Kentucky, told local news that he didn’t “see any upside” to having her come to Kentucky. “I think a lot of Republicans are making a mistake picking on her. I think we need to be very prepared when we debate her on issues that we’re having a hard time with.”

I’m fond of,
‘There are only three people that truly understand Christianity; Me, The Apostle Paul, and Jesus.
And I’m not that sure about Paul . . . or Jesus.’

It’s been awhile since Ted Cruz reminded everyone that he’s Absolutely The Worst, so the 50-rats-wearing-a-human-skin-who-are-each-500-cockroaches-wearing-a-rat-skin took to Twitter to dunk on Disney for donating to the reconstruction of Notre Dame;
Wonderful! Will we see Disney princesses in the new stained glass?
The goblin-like creature which controls the bellows used to create wind in his festering innards and produce a mockery of hoo-mon speech was unavailable for comment.

Not only was Cruz’s attack on Disney mean-spirited (and tone-deaf), it seems remarkably free of strategic benefit for him. Who did he expect to please with that comment? NBC-Universal?

… Who did he expect to please with that comment?
Thick skulled right wingers. My apologies for the redundancy in my reply.

Heh.
But: right-wingers hate Disney?
I remember that there was right-wing grumbling back in the Michael Eisner days, when it was revealed that Eisner had contributed to Democratic politicians. But I haven’t heard of such contributions for many years (and have no idea of the political views of the current heads of the company).

But: right-wingers hate Disney?
Yup, chiefly for soiling the innocent minds of children with Gay Agenda and Political Correctness and Cultural Diversity and general Anti-Christianity. As per Conservapedia:
While Mr. Walt Disney was a conservative, the company is now a secular-progressive organization, courtesy of liberal Michael Eisner, as well as continued with and even doubled down by Robert Iger. This ultimately came to a head in 2017 when the Beauty and the Beast live-action remake film as well as a Disney Channel animated show Star vs. the Forces of Evil included overt homosexual propaganda. In addition, Disney and its affiliates had increased its leftward push significantly. It is suspected that the growing increase in promoting the leftist agenda, many times disregarding whether it was profitable, was to promote Iger’s possible run for the 2020 Presidential Elections as the Democrat candidate. In February 2019, Disney announced it would host its first “LGBT pride” event, holding it at Disneyland Paris.

Well, our current Vice President believes that Mulan was a plot to destroy America’s military.
At this point, all Cruz knows is that the right wing base enjoys childish insults that are spewed forth with no forethought whatsoever.
It does not matter who is being insulted, or why. That’s not the point.
The point is to go “hurr hurr dat’s a good one”
That’s all. That’s the level of right wing political sophistication now. And it’s not at the bottom yet.
Thanks, Kimstu and Smapti–I hadn’t known about those currents in conservative “thought.”
Euphonious Polemic: you’re right—they do seem to glory in bullies and bullying aggression, don’t they?

I disagree. They are very consciously picking targets that the conservative base already distrusts or dislikes to a significant extent. Occasionally they guess wrong, as when Trump assumed that insulting a couple of elderly Gold Star parents would go over well because the parents in question were nonwhite immigrant Muslims, but for the most part they are quite adept at “hurting the people” that their intended audience thinks “they ought to be hurting”.
