His former and potential Democratic opponent then immediately called him out for violating his parole by leaving the country. Hunter had to backtrack and admit that it wasn’t really a border fence and he had never left the country.

If you look at google earth, there are places where the existing barrier appears to be entirely within Mexico. Near Yuma, the US border seems to run down the median of a calle in San Luis Rey Colorado, Sonora, but in Nogales, the border and the barrier cross each other several times, in Palomas, Chihuahua, it looks like the barrier is almost entirely on the Mexican side. Near Tijuana, Baja, there are places where there is one barrier in Mexico and another in the US, but to the east of Tijuana, there are places where the barrier is very obviously on the Mexican side.
Some of these scribed lines are probably not entirely accurate, but there are places where there is a huge difference one way or the other.
