I think that once the conservatives are satisfied that they’ve legislated vaginas enough, they’re going turn their attention toward gay rights, and it’ll get nasty.

Florida State Rep. Mike Hill (R-Pensacola) jokes about filing a bill to execute gay people:

A citizen comments: “In 1 Corinthians, it says that a man who has an affair with another man will be put to death.”

Hill’s response?

“It says that in the Old Testament, too.”

Another attendee asks, “Can you introduce legislation?”

Chuckles are audible. The state representative joins the laughter. “I wonder how that would go over?” Hill says.

I’m fairly certain that’s not what it says in that particular book. Wasn’t Paul ordering church discipline, such as excommunication or disfellowship?

Also, it doesn’t matter a whit what any religion’s book requires. Introducing “Based on the requirements in the Bible” is a violation of SOCAS.

It is an inspiring short video that was displayed at a Fresno Grizzlies baseball game on Memorial Day, featuring a heartfelt speech by old Ronnie, which I have cued up to about thirty seconds before the objectionable part, in order for the meat of the intended message to be fully clear.

As he is saying “… these are the enemies of freedom …” we are treated to images of: a person (woman, I think) wearing a mask that says “antifa”; a picture of Kim Jong-un; a picture of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez; a picture of Fidel Castro; and two more images of black-clad street protesters.

Castro is buried in the ground. -un is fairly insignificant to us, other than the fact that Individual-1 wants to have sex with him. That leaves some of our own citizens, including an elected official, as the important enemies of our freedom.

And he wants to build the wall where?

Trump supporters are so afraid of progress. I think we should take their sliced Wonder Bread away.

In explaining the “hate group” designation, the SPLC noted Anderson’s position that homosexuals should be killed, citing a sermon in which he said: “The biggest hypocrite in the world is the person who believes in the death penalty for murderers but not for homosexuals.” A few days after the listing, Anderson stated: “I do hate homosexuals and if hating homosexuals makes our church a hate group then that’s what we are.” Anderson has also been vocal in expressing his hate for transgender people, stating during a sermon entitled 6 Types of Prayer that he hopes Caitlyn Jenner’s heart explodes.

SANCTIONED RUSSIAN OLIGARCH’S COMPANY TO INVEST MILLIONS IN NEW ALUMINUM PLANT IN MITCH MCCONNELL’S STATE

Rusal, the aluminum company partially owned by Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, announced plans to invest around $200 million to build a new aluminum plant in Kentucky just months after the Trump administration removed it from the U.S. sanctions list.

The new aluminum plant, slated to be built in the home state of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, will be the biggest new aluminum plant constructed in the U.S. in decades. Rusal will have a 40 percent stake in the facility.

The U.S. removed Rusal from its sanctions list in January, after the Treasury Department struck an agreement with the company that saw Deripaska, a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, reduce his stake in the company to below 50 percent and lower his voting rights to below 35. McConnell was among the advocates for lifting sanctions on Rusal, arguing that the deal with Treasury would maintain pressure on Deripaska personally without disrupting global aluminum supplies.
