In other stupid news, a minor one but an odd one: one of my Trumper relations posted a meme stating “82% of Trump supporters would vote for Donald Trump for President again!” I had to point out that the implication of this was that 18% of people who identify as “Trump supporters” nevertheless won’t for Trump in 2020. And that this does not reflect well on Trump.
(There’s no cite for this number so I assume it’s entirely manufactured, but still - an own goal).
I just idly wonder if the guy really is a Marine; if not, I would think the Corps would issue a denial in ‘proper terms’. shortly. If he is, I suspect his command structure will be very unhappy with him and he’ll be hearing about it from various Captains, Majors and Colonels in due course.
