Stupid Republican idea of the day

&

No, it Looks like the Republicans–in Congress, yet–have abandoned any pretense whatsoever that they do not admire how the Nazis came to pwoer in Germany.

I really have a problem with this kind of comment. Do you seriously think that justice is in the hands of convicted felons? Let’s say you do. What’s your plan for rewarding them when they mete out your version of justice?

As I’ve posted before, Trump simply cannot keep his mouth shut. He is the best witness against himself. And the sooner he’s out of office, the better for the country and the world.

At this point the most honest answer is, I don’t give a fuck about them.

Then you don’t care about law, order, justice, right, and wrong. That is exactly what you are saying.

And yet another Republican in office spreads a whacked out nutjob conspiracy theory; in this case, it’s a debunked manipulated photo.

Actually, racists with no compunction about violence should feel right at home in prison.

I’m simply saying I don’t give a fuck about them. Period. Indifference to their fate. If something happens, it happens. If something doesn’t happen, it doesn’t happen.

I’ll save my care or worry for other people, who I see as being more worthy of my interest and concern.

Yeah. That’s where they can prove how superior they are. It’s like a free ticket to the big leagues. Something every white power tough guy should welcome.

I’m reading this as (among other things) a complete abandonment of any pretense of having a defense for CFSG’s actions. As has been said elsewhere, “If the facts are against you, argue the law; if the law is against you, argue the facts; if the facts and the law are against you, pound the table and shout.” Or in this case, make a mockery of yourselves in an attempt to make a mockery of the proceedings.

I saw on CNN’s home page that CFSG was aware of the plan in advance. If true, it appears that the White House may finally have its “impeachment war room” — though it looks like it’s staffed by four warbadgers and a cranky Cub Scout.

The place where the fight was is right up the street from me and half a block from Park Avenue (beyond rich). I’m very surprised that the club let in such a sorry lot but apparently…

Looks they picked a real winner (no offense to doormen).

These disrespectful numbskulls should be removed from the House for such a gross display of contempt. They didn’t breach the decorum of the House, they gleefully stomped on it and flushed what was left down the toilet. What they did was in a way worse than Brooks attacking Sumner: that was an attack on one Congressman, however violent, this is one party calculatingly trying to stop official House business because they can’t stop it by proper (or even shady) parliamentary procedure. Alas, it takes a two-thirds vote to remove a House member, which isn’t likely to happen here.

I would imagine Sumner would disagree. So would I. Not defending their actions; they see Pelosi walking out on the President when he refuses to put up with his shit, and think grandstanding will work. Sadly, it does work for the Trumpiverse. Can’t wait for that 'verse to implode.

You’re right. Popcorn won’t do. We need to upgrade to Sno-Caps and Milk Duds.

I believe you meant “when she refuses to put up with his shit”.

Major League Baseball umpire Rob Drake tweeted yesterday, "I will be buying an AR-15 tomorrow, because if you impeach MY PRESIDENT this way, YOU WILL HAVE ANOTHER CIVAL WAR!!! #MAGA2020

He then deleted the tweet and deleted his Twitter account. But Major League Baseball is investigating.

Granny Nancy knows politics like your granny knows knitting. There was a time, she wouldn’t risk that. And that time is past. And she knows it.

Can’t spell; probably can’t call balls and strikes, either.

Wow. Some right wing “opinion charading as information” news source must be winding these righties up. I wonder which one pushed him over the edge.

I’m sick and tired of all these assholes and their “impending civil war” crap.

Bring it, or shut the fuck up already.

But they won’t. No balls.

Huh. So there really are blind umpires.

By “this way” does he mean “by following the Constitution and the rules of the House and Senate”? Because I can see why a Trump supporter might object to that.
