I don’t know if this is a new Republican talking point or just new to me, but a conservative friend posted a meme on Facebook stating that if we investigated cancer cells as thoroughly as we investigate the president, we would have cured cancer by now. I’m just curious if an actual Republican came up with this idea or if it’s a troll from a Democrat. Comparing investigating the president to investigating cancer seems just a bit too on the nose to me.
Tell him that they’re dreaming – when they investigate cancer as intensively as the Republicans investigated Hillary over Benghazi, then maybe they’ll have something.

Well, he is a cancer on the body politic. And I fear that even after the malignancy is excised — soon, I hope — we as a nation will still be in for a long bout of chemo.
I went with mock agreement and said that if Ken Starr had been a biochemist we could have had cancer AND dementia cured 20 years ago.

Or sympathize with them on having a President who’s so virulent and pernicious that investigating him takes more effort and resources than literally curing cancer.
There was an investigation, and it utterly exonerated the Leader. Turns out, it was a Clinton/Soros plot to deploy GPS hackers to smuggle her server to Ukraine and use it to attack Trump. Then they laid a false trail to fool everybody into thinking it was the Russians. Also, frame Manafort.
Really, look at it the right way, Ukraine’s got it coming, and Putin will give it to them, good and hard.
Putin is a very, very wealthy man–both as an individual, and as the (basically) absolute ruler of the world’s 11th-largest economy. As such, he’s in a position to reward those Americans who help him grab back what for decades had been the “Breadbasket of the USSR.”
So you can see why both individual politicians, and organizations such as the NRA, would feel an urge to help him out…and of course if the carrot fails, there’s always the stick provided by the excellent kompromat work of the various Russian security services.
In sum, it would appear that the Republican Party is all-in on getting Vlad what he wants!
Can you picture him at the podium announcing, “We have found the cure for cancer!” and vanishing in a puff of irony?
What is up with these weird ass ads that play when someone watches “conservative” videos on YouTube? I have gotten only a glimpse and would be curious as to who exactly is making these. The one I saw shows some older guy (sort of looked like a Koch brother but I guess not) saying that liberals want open borders etc, Superman was an AMERICAN back in the day but became an international figure when liberals got control of him, etc, and that’s why NATIONALISM is way better and the American way!! (Paraphrased but they really did bring Superman being an American into it).
It had the old man talking and colorful graphics moving around behind him.
I haven’t seen any of those ads, but the Superman claim is interesting. I thought they hated illegal immigrants?

Quoting myself, I think I figured out that it was this guy, Dennis Prager. Never heard of him before. He’s saying that “the left” and “liberals” are different and liberals should join conservatives to chase away “the left,” who want to destroy Western civilization. He seems pretty loony if the Wikipedia article about him is correct.

He is. And if you haven’t heard of him before, you’re probably not on YouTube much. His “PragerU” “virtual university” is offering “free college-level courses” on any and all topics.
And by that I mean he’s got a faux-grassroots really-billionaire-funded youtube channel publishing hilariously misleading propaganda videos that are heavily advertised on that platform. Like, there can hardly be a more openly and blatantly “hey, hey, angry working class white dude ? Let’s you and [that other guy who definitely isn’t the billionaire picking your pocket, who that is really doesn’t matter] fight” endeavour… but it seems to work ? Even by FoxNews standards it’s ridiculous nonsense. I kid you not, there’s an entire video about how if you’re an American you should be grateful there was a British Empire that was freedom loving above all and allowed YOU to be free. I don’t understand how anyone who’s gone through grade fucking school can’t put their finger on at least the one giant Wait, WHAT? part of that statement. And yet, 25k likes and a million+ views.
