Partisan ideology AND the capacity–and willingness–to lie shamelessly:
If McConnell had said that two days ago, it would have been a great April Fools joke! But as it was, it was simply GOP-style communication. (How proud Joseph Goebbels would be, if only he could be here to see it.)
Remember 6 years ago, when Hobby Lobby told the US Supreme Court that providing health insurance for its employees was an important religious belief of theirs (like making sure 3rd parties doesn’t pay for their employee’s contraception)?
Well, maybe its not that important. They closed their stores and furloughed almost all their workers rather than spend some of their billions to provide said health insurance.
Hobby Lobby provides health insurance for its employees the way people used to provide fancy soap and towels to their guests.
It’s for lookin’ at, not using.
I think he means that they furloughed the workers rather than provide health insurance, which they could well afford to do. This after forcing them to work at risk of losing their jobs if they didn’t, in the middle of a pandemic.
And I’m willing to bet that most of their workers weren’t full-time anyway, which means they wouldn’t be getting health insurance to begin with. Their religious principles were only a cover for being cheapskates.
The beches will mostly be used by Black people, and Gov. Kemp doesn’t care if they get sick and die – he might even prefer it. It will keep them from voting. He did his best as Secretary of State to eliminate as many as possible from the voting list; that’s how he got ‘elected’ in the first place.
You just have to laugh some times. The new Fox News talking point is that the Democrats were downplaying the dangers of the coronavirus in the early days.
Momma always warned you about wild women and their untamed vaginas with their lady chemicals. Now you know exactly why. Was it worth it? I hate to say I told you so, but…
