I’m disappointed that Richard John Santorum is tantalizingly close to and anagram of “major christ hardon”. “nu-major christ hardon” just doesn’t cut it.
Well, to be fair, that wasn’t his personal Hannukah card. It’s possible all he did was tell his various state election workers to send one out and left it to them to choose it and never saw it.
I kinda hate having to be fair about it, because I find his positions on so many social issues to be abhorrent. And yeah, the buck is supposed to stop with him. But even so, I have to come down on the side of “stupid Republican campaign workers” as opposed to “stupid Santorum”.
That’s right! Take yer damn fish-weirs out of here. If you need to trap fish, do it on your own time, in your own rivers. And if you’ve got a problem with it, you can do what Martin Luther (the social media content provider of his time) did.
Politifact’s latest is an example of what qualifies them to be on this thread: They rate the statement “White House official says 98 percent of Catholic women have used contraception” as only “mostly” true by straining to find a qualifier (punchline spoilered):
“the statistic refers specifically to women who have had sex”
