Jimmy Smith, (R)Florida, has authored a bill requiring ALL state employees be drug tested.
Oh, wait. Not all. Politicians are exempt, because the testing would violate their rights, he thinks. Maybe the First Amendment? No, the Fourth? OK, that one!
Florida Politics
Oh, sweet jesus fuck. I’d think they’d know better considering how many people demanded drug tests for state legislators following the passage of the bill requiring testing of welfare recipients.
Wyoming has dropped the aircraft carrier and army from the bill, but the currency provisions remain as the bill advances.
This week in anti-Semitic Republican stupidity we have Arthur Jones.
Kinda wish the paper hadn’t run that item until after the guy had won the Republican nomination.
You’re a terrible man. Which is why I just might love you.
blush
I think I’m going to just say that if you’re a Republican official of any sort, you should just get all your conservative friends to remove you from their list of people they forward racist jokes to. Just so you’re never even tempted to have this sort of thing happen:
That’s a new theory. Was the dog from Kenya?
I hate Illinois Nazis.
I love this quote from the article:
They’re Neo-Nazi events, scheduled on Hitler’s Birthday — but they’re Family Friendly!
Rice Krispy treats in the form of little swastikas? Friendly kid-loving Alsatians?
I forget. Are we only dealing with public officials?
Aw, screw it

It’s so over the top offensive it’s laughable. Also, it’s wrong. On several counts. First, her name is Sandra. (Politico graciously changed Limbaugh’s quote to reflect the real name). Also, Fluke wasn’t testifying about her lusty, wanton desire for sex. She was talking about a friend of hers who needed it to control a medical condition.
But go on and read the article. The quotes from him just get better and better!

Pimps with a seriously misguided business plan…
No, not pimps. Love Brokers!
There’s another article somewhere where a dude argues that because a student claimed it costs 3000 for three years of birth control PILLS without a prescription, that it means that she’s having sex four times a day because that’s what CONDOMS would cost.
Math is hard.
Don’t know if this little gem has popped up in this thread (I can’t go back and read 116 pages) but Nebraska is considering making this a law.
Nebraska Legislature Considers Justifiable Homicide of Abortion Doctors
Of course it is being proposed by a Republican senator.
Don’t bother them while they’re creating jobs.
I’m loving the rational smackdown by Senator Brenda Council (Independent)
I looked up Council, who is a labor lawyer by trade, and was unsurprised to see that she’s got Ernie Chambers’old seat. The 11th District must be an interesting place, based on who they keep sending to the legislature.
Finally a good Republican idea: Andrew Breitbart is dead.
The average quality of journalism worldwide has just taken a huge leap up.
