Stupid Republican idea of the day

For awhile, I thought you meant there were girls who needed sex to control a medical condition, and was wondering where some of them might be located.

But yeah. Birth control pills to control a medical condition. Totally slutty.

I tried that whole “I need sex to control a medical condition” thing in college but it didn’t work work.

Cecil sounds a little skeptical about it too:

Ah, pila caerula

:dubious:

ETA: Found it on Mother Jones: Nebraska Resurrects “Justifiable Homicide” Abortion Bill – Mother Jones

Along with his new state motto - “Nebraska: The corn-hole state”

Thank god Maricopa county Sheriff Joe Arpaio has FINALLY weighed in on this whole birther issue!

I’m glad that SOMEONE is finally addressing the problem of foreign-born Presidential candidates. This may be just the break the McCain campaign needs!

No Huffpo at work (besides, I don’t want to give her more traffic, until she drops the anti-vax shit). What did Joe the Ass have to say?

Shockingly, Joe’s volunteer posse has concluded that the birth certificate AND Obama’s draft card are forgeries! Thank God for Joe’s volunteer posse, only they have the acumen to evaluate the evidence in such depth…:dubious:

Indiana House Approves Bill That Allows Homeowners To Kill Police Officers. Cite.

That’s thinking outside the box!

No way. Just no way.

Who is this Barnes guy? He just wants to be able to beat his wife in peace and quiet, with no interruptions!

FYI, here is the draft text of the shoot the cops bill. From what I understand, slightly different versions have passed both Houses, so they need to be reconciled and passed again and get the governor’s signature.

I am utterly fucking gobsmacked.

You know, I am just about convinced that a mad scientist developed a tool that created a worm hole that sent the entire planet to another universe, and the transition sent a whole lot of people fucking nuts. That’s the only thing that could explain what the hell is going on around this country lately.

I was surprised that there’s not a Pit thread going on Rush and Slutgate, but whatever. Someone should gently explain to the poor man how birth control pills work…that you take one a day, regardless of how many times you fornicate like filthy animals.

So, wouldn’t Federal law trump state law on the Kill The Doctors and Kill The Cops bills? In other words, is murder only a state crime or both a state and federal crime? What about if some Indianan kills an FBI agent running through his back yard?

IIRC, in the past, the Feds have prosecuted murder as a denial of civil rights with extreme prejudice.

Not all murders are Federal crimes. Murder of Federal employees and elected officials is a Federal crime. Murder of people on Federal property is a Federal crime.

Ah, I found a list. There are more than I thought, and the list may not be exhaustive since it only includes those in which the death penalty is possible.

One is particularly interesting is First Degree Murder, which seems pretty broadly defined according to Cornell University. Any murder that includes premeditation can apparently be prosecuted Federally. I don’t know how much premeditation is necessary, and it’s certainly possible that it couldn’t be applied to cops busting through the door of your house.

No way this goes forward. If it turns out that the wording of the law is likely to be interpreted that way, it will be walked back at warp speed.
