Alan Dick (R-Alaska), made a statement that should surprise no one, but still left me shaking my head.
That actually answers a lot of questions and makes no sense simultaneously.
See, here I thought this whole argument was about a fetus’s right to life. But clearly that can’t be the case because A. Dick thinks it’s ok to kill a helpless clump of cells so long as two people give the go ahead! No, A. Dick pulls back the curtain on Oz and reveals what we all already knew this whole debate was about: making sure a woman understands her place.
His name is perfect - I wish I would have thought of the abbreviation you used. Love it!
Krugman has an excellent editorial from yesterday talking about Romney’s and the GOP’s stupidity in accusing the Obama administration of conspiracy in deliberately raising gas prices to hurt ordinary Americans’ independence and, as George Will put it, “in order to make them more amenable to collectivism.” Aiigh!!! The stupidity! It burns!
Thank you, Krugman, for calling it out with such sanity and clarity.
As before, a stupid Fox idea of the idea is not necessarily = stupid Republican idea of the day, but it comes close.
Ah, Geraldo…is there a more storied social critic and philosopher alive today?
“He totally had it coming! Look at how he was dressed!”
Every time I hear about him, I can’t help but think about how Kurt Vonneguts said that one of the happiest moments of his life was hearing that his daughter was divorcing Geraldo Rivera.
And...two dangerous men.
A web-only campaign video/ad from the Santorum campaign.[sup]1[/sup]
About the only thing it lacks is a little girl playing fortuneteller with a daisy.
[sup]1[/sup]Link goes to Youtube, not the Santorum web site.
I was half-expecting the spiel to include “…and feral zombies roaming the empty streets, blasted by nuclear radiation…”
No, Newt isn’t in it.
When I first saw it last night, I was almost certain it had to be one of an example of Poe’s Law, a brainless SuperPAC, or even a dirty trick. But no, no, Santorum really *is *that crazy, and not only did his campaign produce this video, they plan on **seven (7) more **“Obamaville” videos.:rolleyes:
It gets weirder. Apparently (code words for “I’m too lazy to go get the link right now”), in the scene where pictures of Amawhatshisface are flashing on the tv rapidly, one of them is changed to a picture of Obama. Flash flash flash Obama flash flash, all in the space of two seconds. Santorum has gone subliminal! All glory to the Hypnotoad!
Does anybody else remember Stephen Colbert’s Doom Bunker?
And he’s hiding it, sorta? “This video is unlisted. Only those with the link can see it.” Weird.
I know it’s meant to be a teaser, but how does deregulation + war with Iran = revitalized small-town America?
Did I miss it or were the only non-white/European people in that video either Obama or Iranian?
Subtle as bedsheet and a burning cross.
