Stupid Republican idea of the day

During Fox News’ 8,732nd overhyped segment about Benghazi, author Thomas E. Ricks is brought on to answer questions from some stuttering clown about why the White House needs to be held responsible.

He instantly eviscerates the host, and the network stops the interview after less than 60 seconds.

Remember, when evaluating Republican ideas:

“Beauty is only skin-deep; Ugly goes clear to the bone”

Ouch. Fox was pwend. It was liking watching someone smother a puppy to death, except this time it was an ugly, pit bull puppy with rabies.

Brilliant!

Genius Republican idea of the [insert time period]: GENUINE Copyright Reform (memo pdf). Genius idea number two: pull the memo and disavow it.

Fox Business Host Charles Paynereports on the tragic loss of [del]life[/del] jobs in a Bangladesh fire:

Hey, at least he admits that he and his “like to victimize everyone in this country”. For someone who presumably doesn’t know what the word means, he uses it well.

Those crazy liberals, always trying to make people out to be victims for something as trivial as dying in a fire. Real victims are people who stand to have their marginal tax rate increased to Clinton-era levels, and got called fatcats by the President that one time. Have some sense of proportion here.

Man - that’s just too funny.

Ricks is now officially my new hero

Holy crap! Right for the jugular.

Jaysus! He stutters more than I do! Is this an example of Fox hiring a person with a “disability” that most networks would find made him completely unsuitable for TV? Next thing they will hire a woman who is neither beautiful nor blonde. If Candy Crowley were not anathema at Fox after the debates she’d have a chance.

Now I have mixed emotions. :frowning:

On the one hand, I deplore the very fact that “news” programming on television is given any attention at all.

On the other hand, though, that there made for some beautiful live television.

That is the most wonderful thing I’ve seen so far this week.

Specifically, he was cut off for identifying Fox News as “a wing of the Republican Party” (and thus germane to this thread).

Just to be clear. This was Fox NEWS right? I hate when I confuse their hardcore news programs with their commentary programs. I know that’s not what Fox intends.

It started off with “pressure is mounting on the Obama Administration,” which is Fox News reporting on what Fox and Friends was opining on earlier in the day. I don’t see how that’s confusing at all.

I think it is properly spelled Fox “News”. And Ricks was awesome.

Pssst: Post #7660.

That was one of the funniests 60 seconds of FOX News ever. I especially like Rick’s cheerful “You’re welcome!” after getting the bum’s rush.

HA! Me too! First time in weeks I LOL’d. Seems like FOX couldn’t find the right button in time to turn off his camera.
