Stupid Republican idea of the day

And of course, the recent Rise of the Guardians, where Santa is a swashbuckling Russian (they’re still commies, right?) who consorts with nature spirits as well.

Youngsters, Arlo Guthrie told us in the 60s why Santa was not to be trusted : The pause of Mr Claus

Iowa Supreme Court: Firing of attractive worker not harassment
Perhaps not a Republican idea. Is this the new improved Iowa Supreme Court? I remember a recall because the previous judges overruled a ban on gay marriage IIRC correctly.

Strange anyway. Dentist fires assistant after 10 years because she’s too hot, he has been harassing her, he’s getting ready to take “action”, the dentist’s wife finds out and she is pissed. TEN YEARS:confused:

And can anyone furnish pictures?

.

No, not of the Supreme Court:D

I always took Santa for a Republican. Old white guy doling out rewards and punishments based on his own fucked-up ideas of morality.

So that’s why I never got that bicycle!

If you present “Melissa Nelson” to Google Images you’ll see several women of that name. In the first row I see six pictures: two of the victim, two of models pretending to be a dental assistant, and two other Melissa Nelsons.

If I were going to risk a harassment suit, I’d harass the same-named blond blue-eyed ukelele player.

I must be getting old; I didn’t click on the link. But, wait, there’s a woman with blue-eyes and a ukelele…?

Pics of her in various news stories, e.g.: http://www.news4jax.com/news/-Irresistible-Iowa-worker-decries-ruling/-/475880/17879022/-/jf7ka7/-/index.html

Don’t know much about Mike Crapo but I thought a Mormon GOP senator drinking and driving sounds like a stupid idea.

Google updates quickly. Thirteen hours later, there are now five pictures of the victim and three different models pretending to be such a victim before you get to the pretty ukelele player. Melissa Nelson the cultural ecologist has dropped from Row 1 to Row 3.

Unless there’s some sort of hypocrisy involved, I think he should be given a pass for making a stupid mistake.

Oh it’s hypocrisy all right. Senator Crapo has supported tax cuts for brewers, saying that while he abstains from alcohol, he won’t impose his religious beliefs on others, but he wants to support a growing industry.

Yes, Senator, I’m sure it’s your pro-business stance that makes you want to support craft breweries in Idaho.

That’s a bit tenuous.

Common Republicans, you can do better. I’m fine with arguable conservative viewpoints and whatnot, and don’t really care about small-h hypocrisy. Is a day really going by without some extreme claim or contorted logic to fill the thread?

Common, Florida, do your duty! South Carolina, you’re so close, let’s hear from you? Texas? Texas? Please stop eating paste for a few minutes and do something newsworthy. And upstate NY, don’t think I don’t see you there, trying to avoid eye contact. You’ve got plenty of stupid to share, let’s get with it!

Texas has put an embargo on stupid. When the rest of ya’ll run out after New Years, they’re gonna double the price on raw, unrefined stupid.

Sorry, but if Texas tries to hold in all the stupid it generates, we’ll end up with a stupidity eruption that would Deepwater Horizon look like a greasy paper towel fell out of a rowboat.

I think the last time a state tried that was the Great Alaska Idiocy Strike of February 11, 1964–and look what that got us.

A Texas-sized stupendum? My go, it’s full of tards.

*Won’t someone think of the children?!
*

Yeah? Tryng to remember all the idiot stuff that happened because we made a refrigerator into a state. The number one, something that doesn’t pale in comparision…

Two words. Sister Sarah.

Wasn’t that two mules?

No, elephants.

Nah, four elephants carry the disk, two mules for Sister Sarah, and a cartridge in a pear tree!

(Something wrong with the scansion, or whatever…)
