Criminal statutes must be strictly construed (it’s called the rule of lenity) in favor of the accused. Since it doesn’t say anything about who may be breast fed in public…
[QUOTE=NC HB 34]
(a1)Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a woman may breast feed in any public or private location where she is otherwise authorized to be, irrespective of whether the nipple, or any portion of the areola, of the mother’s breast is uncovered during or incidental to the breast feeding.

My sister’s baby organ became enlarged once. It got so big that one day it literally burst out of her. Then it went on living OUTSIDE HER BODY. That was years ago, and it’s still crawling around her house. It’s like something out of a David Lynch movie.
I think this must be his tryout for a writing job at The Onion. He’s certainly trying to out Onion The Onion.
Obviously unconstitutional and he must know it cannot be enacted, but I’d nominate this one for most stupid GOP-Teahadist idea of 2013, and I know it’s not even March yet.
When it comes to right-wing nitwits, I never attribute to satire what can be explained by ignorance. Until he admits it was a stunt, I assume he actually believes he can selectively overturn the Constitution through legislation.
Its almost as though the state legislatures are the farm teams for the national nutballs. Its where they say incredibly stupid things to boost their credibility amongst the batshit. Farm teams or Special Olympics tryouts, something along those lines.
Maybe they read Molly Ivins work on the antics of the Texas Leg and were so consumed with envy and spite, they’ve determined to out-crazy Texas.
I read stories like these and enjoy the farce. … But the stakes are serious.
Does mainstream media (i.e., not just Rachel Maddow) display these stupidities to their audience? I can’t help but think that if stories like these were disseminated widely, even the American people would catch on to the disgrace that the GOP has become.
That’s what I always hoped would happen 2000 - 2004+ but it didn’t. Maybe now though, with the Bush Bubble smashed, the media and Dems are not cowering quite as much as in that era.
If true, I’m reassured by this news. Imagine the stupidity necessary to create a world-wide television network costing hundreds of millions of dollars and then sending your (apparently coded?) messages out so everyone in the world can hear them and have a chance to decode and act on them, compared to say, sending out a few emails to people in Detroit. Or maybe just posting your messages on a web page somewhere.
