Stupid Republican idea of the day

Unfortunately, that’s some of the less stupid shit I’ve been seeing come out of our Legislator.

Bad nipple! Bad!

The wonders of Duct Tape!

Very cost effective, basic three piece bathing suit.

Duct tape can also be used as birth control, according to William (not Bill) Nealy. Of course it must be noted that he killed himself.

Duct tape can also shut up the hungry baby that can’t get any milk out of the taped-shut nipple.

Next week - the many and wonderful uses of urine.

Fox News thinks Obama will be running for office in 14 years:

Obama Proposed ‘Free’ Preschool To Toddlers So They Can Vote For Him ‘In The Future’

Ehh…look, I’m all for making fun of Republicans, but this could easily be seen as a slight misspeak, the intended target being Democrats in general, not specifically the President.

It’s amazing how republican extremists can turn “Gov’t providing basic, needed services” as a “bribe” and therefore a bad thing. I believe most every other first world country doesn’t have such a hard-on against the government doing ANYTHING.

Even more amazing is that anyone can fall for their nonsense.

Doesn’t make a lot of sense. Once the President for Life Amendment passes, he won’t be needing votes, because there will be no elections.

Either way, the Republicans have a point. The more educated people are, the more likely they are to vote Democrat.

One wonders whether nursing a baby in public is now going to be a felony in the backward state of North Carolina. Afterall, some sick F#ck$ get off on that sort of thing.

Paul Ryan recently:

Paul Ryan August 2011:

Nothing like a little hypocrisy.

Unless it’s hypocrisy seasoned with absurdity: Lindsey Graham suggests getting rid of Obamacare to fix sequester

I realize that this is for stupid ideas, but I think that once in a while, we should give credit where it’s due:

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-250_162-57569880/after-148-years-mississippi-finally-ratifies-13th-amendment-which-banned-slavery/

“Four remaining states all eventually ratified the amendment – except for Mississippi”

I had to look on wikipedia to find out what that meant. It’s poorly stated. The amendment of course became official when 3/4 of the 36 states - 27 - ratified it. 4 states initially rejected it but later passed it (including Delaware and New Jersey).

In a rare case of honesty (perhaps he gave up his talking points for Lent?) Newt Gingrich said on TV yesterday that Republicans will block any immigration plan Obama supports, even if they support it too.

Did you know a fetus is the largest organ in woman’s body? Rep. Mary Sue McClurkin does; she offers this fact as part of her justification for yet another piece of TRAP legislation, this time in Alabama.

Nah, the text of the bill explicitly says breastfeeding is exempt. More interestingly is that the text of the bill allows mothers to “breast feed” in areas they are authorised to be ignoring the rest of the bill, it says nothing about whether the individuals they’re breastfeeding have to be their children. RNATBatsignal!

I’d like to extend a warm welcome to Mississippi for finally arriving at 19th century! Next up: electricity and horseless carriages!
