Stupid Republican idea of the day

Sure, but what would you or I do? Even if we assume that the greater number of the Pubbies are not crazy, how many is that? Maybe if they had a recognized leader, somebody with the authority to say hold it, stop, no further. Supposed to be Boner, but we know it isn’t.

If they go ahead and fuck things up, it will be a disaster. If they just intend to go right to the line bluffing, and then somebody fucks up, its just as much a disaster. Who’s the guy who gets to say “OK, that’s all we can get, time to stand down the nuclear missiles…” Its not only that somebody might not get the memo, there’s nobody with the authority to send the damn memo!

So, the Dems hang tough, the Pubbies burn the place down, and we can be comforted because the smoldering wreckage will be in responsible hands a year or two down the road?

If a Dem were to say “We had to give in, no choice, and hope to fix things later” how do I say he’s wrong? Remember, they designed the sequester to be so terrible, it couldn’t happen. And here we are. In the old days, we could at least rely on the money Pubbies to yank the chain, back when they were in charge. Now, there’s nobody in charge, and no chain to yank.

A disturbed mind firing random neurons.*

I just vote my conscience, which leads to my not having voting for a Republican in many years, and seeing little chance of it in the neat future.

nm

Huh. That was intended to read “near future,” obviously. But “neat” future. Hmmm… Do those flying cars have a chance?

I wonder if these guys would support flying cars if you voted for them.

GOP using flimsy pretexts to block president Obama’s nominees.

They’re bothering to use pretexts? That surprises me.

Hell, everybody texts these days! How much trouble would it be to put a little more at the beginning?

In the wake of the IRS scandal, Marco Rubio has, reasonably, called for the resignation of the IRS commissioner. If only there was an IRS commissioner. The last one (a Bush appointee) resigned last November.

So Bush was actually doing the Right thing by not going after OBL thereby endearing the US to Moslems throughout the world. He’s smarter than I thought.

I keep hoping I’ll wake up and find that all these stories were in fact hoaxes by left-wing pranksters, and that I was duped by the Onion.

Instead, it’s miserable effing reality. The Republican Party is a parody of itself, and it is not in on the joke.

A few of them have to be. I mean, for example, that asshat who full out admitted that the only reason republican senators/congressmen voted against the universal background checks, even when over 90% of Americans support them, was because Obama wanted it and they didn’t want to hand him a “win”, at least he’s in on the joke, right? RIGHT?

That was Toomey, and he was actually pretty ticked about it, since it was a bill he co-sponsored and voted for.

Of course, on other bills, he’s perfectly happy to vote with the rest of the Republicans to ensure that Obama doesn’t get what he wants…

Yeah I got that he was ticked. But if he’s actually got the balls to call out his fellow Republicans for doing the same exact shit he himself and they all have been doing since day 1 of Obama’s presidency, surely he must be aware of what a parody the Republicans have become.

That’s why I hate this effing process.

The point of winning the election is to do something for the people and then get the hell out of that stinking town.

Instead it’s a team sport and they fight every two years for Super Bowl rings. This isn’t politics, it’s a damned football match that never ends and is not the slightest bit entertaining or fun.

Finally a smart Republican idea

Republican politicians may be in on the joke, the problem is that Republican *voters *don’t even know that comedy exists.

I can’t think of a better Hispanic outreach method.

So how is FOX covering this story?
